One of the most compelling aspects of FFXIV is showing off your character to other players. And while showing your new outfit, weapons, or abilities is something everyone loves to do, and there is one other aspect that they just love to flaunt. And that is the titles.
In FFXIV, titles show people what a player has accomplished in the game at a glance. These titles are like game achievements in that they can only be acquired through completing a specific task in the game. And like game achievements, some titles are harder to achieve than others, thus carrying with them a level of prestige that no piece of armor or fancy weapon can overcome.
Today we’ll be breaking down the Ten Hardest Titles to get in the game and how you can get them. Be aware, just because you know what to look for to get them, don’t expect it to become easy suddenly.
#10. Master Crafter
Now, when I say “Master Crafter,” I mean any/all of the crafting titles available. Eight separate “Master” titles are available to you once you achieve that ranking level. There are:
- Master Alchemist
- Master Armorer
- Master Blacksmith
- Master Carpenter
- Master Culinarian
- Master Goldsmith
- Master Leatherworker
- Master Weaver
How to get
The process for any of these eight is arguably the easiest of the group, and that’s more to do with the fact that the process, while simple, is excruciatingly monotonous and timewasting.
To get the title of “Master” in any of these categories, you must craft at least 10,000 items. Not only that, but for the items to count, they must be a high-quality version. That means low-quality items do not count towards the 10,000 number regardless of any category you choose.
Despite the tedious nature, if you are willing to make it a goal and invest a lot of your time, you can end up with this title in a reasonable amount of time. Just focus on a specific type and get to crafting.
#09. The Insatiable
Next on the list is the title, “The Insatiable.” This is one you should realistically shoot for as the first on this list. You’ll see why in a moment, but it’s worth it.
How to get
To get the Insatiable title, you must collect all ten Relic Weapons from the Relic Reborn Questline. To do that, you’re going to need to have the Paladin, Monk, Dragoon, White Mage, Black Mage, Scholar, Summoner, Warrior, Ninja, and Bard ALL at level 50.
You should shoot for this title first because, by getting so many classes to level 50, you will make the acquisition of many other titles much easier to get afterward.
#08. Zhloe’s Best Friend / M’naago’s Best Friend
These two titles function essentially the same so take your pick (or do both if you think you can). You’ll need to have the Heavensward and the Stormblood expansion packs for their respective characters, but the process is identical outside of that.
How to get
To get the title, you have to make 150 deliveries to the designated person. Getting this title, while simple, is VERY time-consuming (which is why not as many people don’t have it).
In FFXIV, you are only able to make a total of six deliveries per week per character. The weeks are real-time and not game weeks. That means you’ll spend around 25 weeks of nonstop deliveries between the two characters. Totaling it out, you’ll spend around Six Months of real-time before getting the titles.
#07. The Fortunate
Next up is “The Fortunate” title. Technically, you could argue that this is the first title you should focus on but only because of the nature of the title. Whether you stress this or #09 more is up to you as either one helps the other.
How to get
To get this title, you need to clear over 10,000 different Fates. While you can do the same areas repeatedly, you must complete the 10,000 before getting the title.
These fates have varying monsters in them that you must clear and at varying levels. This is why it is a great way to level up your characters’ classes in a super-fast way.
#06. Wings of Fire
The “Wings of Fire” title is also fairly straightforward. However, it is not going to be easy. You want to have completed the Insatiable title as well as the previous Fortunate title. Depending on a lot of factors, this may be nearly impossible.
How to get
To try and get the Wings of Fire title, you’re going to need to win over 1,000 separate matches of Rival Wings. For those that may not know, Rival Wings is essentially their PvP area in FFXIV.
To participate, you have to go through the queue and wait for a matchup. This probably takes around 20-30 minutes with around 15 minutes to the winner of the fight.
Again, this is a process that will just take a large amount of time. It would still take over a month of nonstop PvP playing if you were to win every matchup.
#05. Honest Gillionaire
The name isn’t just for fun. This title is a bit difficult to get to because of the high threshold tied to it. Still, once you do, it is a badge of honor.
How to get
You’re going to focus on making over 10 Million Gils while using Leves alone. To do this, expect to collect just under 6667 levels to sell for the 10 million.
#04. Alpha Wolf
If you want a cool-sounding title, the next should be the “Alpha Wolf” title. Not only is it a great title and great sounding title, but it can improve your character’s stats.
How to get
To get Alpha Wolf’s title, you need to have at least 5,000 PvP victories from either the Feast or the Fold. It’s similar to Rival Wings as a method and should be fairly straightforward, if a bit cleaner, a gym.
#03. The Legend
As awesome a title as it sounds, “The Legend” is a great title that very few people have in the game.
How to get
To get “The Legend” title, you’re going to have to clear “The Final Coil of Bahamut” dungeon and kill Bahamut Ultimate.
Be aware that this is pretty much an endgame title to shoot for. Seriously, while most of the titles on this list largely require a large investment of time and grinding, that isn’t the case for Bahamut Ultimate. This title, if you want to acquire it, will need you at your strongest.
As it stands, Bahamut (ultimate) has rarely been defeated by so you must bring your A-game if you expect to win.
#02. The Moneybag
“The Moneybag” title is another one worth focusing on a lot of your time. Not only will it make you some money, but getting this title will also keep you close enough to complete some of the other requirements for their titles as well.
How to get
To get “the Moneybag” title, you’re going to need to complete the achievement, “Work Smarter. Not Harder”.
To get this achievement, you’ll need to score around 1,000,000 MGP by using the Jumbo Cactpot. This is incredibly difficult because the odds of you scoring anything outside of 4tth place on the Jumbo Cactpot is incredibly low.
If you shoot at the realistic 4th place, you can expect to meet your 1,000,000 MCP goal in over three years! As such, you can see why it’s so difficult. Unless you are lucky, you’re going to be working at it for a while. Might as well get comfy.
#01. High Roller
If you thought getting “The Legend” or “The Moneybag” was tough, you haven’t seen anything yet. High Roller is such a difficult Title to get; it requires you to HAVE “Moneybag” as an achievement before actively pursuing it.
Without a doubt, having this title is pretty much telling the world that you are something very special.
How to get
To get the “High Roller” title, you’re going to need to have the “Work Smarter. Not Harder.” achievement, but that’s not all. You’re also going to need to get; Winning Jockey, Always Bet on Me, Bracket Breaker, Enemies at the Gate III, What the Fungah III, and Mountains of the Gil Hills.
Essentially, you’re going to have to do ALL of this to fully qualify:
- Get 1st place in over 500 Sanctioned Races
- Win 100 Tournament Matches of Triple Triad
- Win 1,000 Tournament Matches of Double Triad
- Complete 1,000 Gates
- Successfully doing 10x the “Where the Wind Blows” Gate
- And getting 1,000,000 MGP using Mini Cat Putt only
This is pretty much meant for the person that plans to invest countless hours into the game over months and months at a time. That said, if you are willing to make the sacrifice, you will be one of the lone people with a “High Roller” title above their head, something virtually no one else will be able to duplicate.
