Free Trial
The free trial for FFXIV is very generous, however, it comes with certain restrictions and limitations. We’ll go through them all, but aside from the level limit, the most significant restrictions are those pertaining to partying and trade. Free players cannot add friends or start a party, but they can join a party that a premium player has already started. The trading environment is a bit more limited. Free players cannot trade in any way, and they cannot utilize the Market Board. Other than those two restrictions, however, the restrictions are very moderate.
