Heaven’s Mandate

By: Meiyu
Corrections by Shadovv

The final battle with Jinsoyun, who plots to complete the Divine Mandate Ritual and summon the Dark Lord atop this floating altar.

Heaven’s Mandate can only be entered once per day until the daily quest reset (can be viewed in the minimap clock icon; resets at 12:00AM CST); the daily limit can be reset in your character menu with a Heaven’s Mandate Reset, from the Hongmoon Store or events, in your inventory.

The Dragon Pulse from the entrance platform must be activated by placing an White Orb in the statue. The White Orb can be obtained from defeating Winter Mane of Cold Storage or dynamic quests within Zaiwei Ruins. Common etiquette is that the player who uses the orb is entitled to the loot.

First Form – Jinsoyun:

HP: 62,000,000

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

Attack Pattern:

Double Slash: Two frontal slashes, blockable and CC’able.

Blindside: Dashes behind the tank.

Anklebiter: 180 degree sword sweep, blockable and CC’able, inflicts knockdown.

Sundering Sword: Creates a small frontal wave, blockable and CC’able, inflicts daze.

Explosion: Creates an area of effect explosion around her, unblockable, but CC’able, inflicts knockback and knockdown.

Blindside.

If the tank stands 9 or more meters from Jinsoyun, she performs a charging thrust at the tank.

Special Rotation:

Periodically, Jinsoyun engages a new rotation, afterwards she will resume what she was doing prior.

Jinsoyun rains swords on most of the arena, leaving a damaging puddle.

A voice bubble will appear, and Jinsoyun will say “What is this power?” Following this, she will do a 4-hit combo on the tank and can hit nearby players. The final hit launches; if successful she will do a 5-hit aerial combo that deals sizable damage.

A voice bubble will appear, and Jinsoyun will say “I will end your suffering!” Following this, she uses Phantom Grip on the tank, then casts Drain on them thrice, healing 2% HP per successful drain, then drop her victim and leave them knocked down. Can be CC’d. The grip can be iframed, but she will continue to drain health.

Jinsoyun jumps into the air and slams her sword into the ground, creating an unblockable AoE that launches.

At various points throughout the fight, a message warns “Fiends have appeared at Heaven’s Mandate.” 4 fiends will spawn, 2 on each side of the map. These will run towards the main tank, and once close, they will self-destruct, dealing sizable damage and applies a movement speed reduction.

Second Form – Jinsoyun the Dark Emissary

HP: 72,300,000

Enrage: 7:00

CC: 2x

After defeating her normal form, Jinsoyun unleashes her power and becomes “Jinsoyun the Dark Emissary.” She grows wings and her attacks change from those of her normal form. Instead of her various sword attacks, Jinsoyun gains the ability to use a barrage of various AoE attacks.

Attacks:

4-hit ball throw: 4 blockable ranged projectiles, immune to debuffs during animation

Large Orb: Throws a large orb projectile, induces knockback and knockdown

Charge Explosion: Charges chi, then phantom grips everyone near her and pushes them away.

4-hit combo: 4-hit blockable attack where Jinsoyun phases in and out between each attack, immune to debuffs during animation

Spin: 3-hit Blockable circular AoE, inflicts knockback and knockdown on the last hit

Teleport: Teleports behind the tank.

Phantom Grip: If the aggro holder is more than 8 meters away, occasionally grabs the aggro holder.

World Breaker 97%/57%/27%:

The Dark Emissary will channel a massive unblockable AoE explosion around her.

A message warns “Master’s Apparition has appeared at the Heaven’s Mandate”, and four Master’s Apparition NPCs resembling Master Hong appear who beckon “Please, come here!” Meanwhile, the Dark Emissary teleports to the middle of the room.

A message warns “Jinsoyun the Dark Emissary is casting World Breaker” and she will channel a field-wide AoE that will forcibly lift everyone and drop them, dealing massive damage, blinds, deafens, and stuns. The entire attack ignores iframes. To avoid this, stand near one of the Master’s Apparitions; they will cast a barrier that provides a 5 second buff that makes you immune to the World Breaker attack, but you will be unable to move or attack.

After the World Breaker, the Dark Emissary channels dark chi before releasing it in an unblockable AoE burst around her and deals high damage. The bursts of energy then drop onto various parts of the arena, dealing high damage and dazing.

Mirror Images 75%/35%:

The Dark Emissary will release dark chi; despite having a damage indicator it does no harm. A message then warns “Jinsoyun the Dark Emissary has summoned her Mirror Images” and a pair of The Dark Emissary’s Shadows will appear. These clones are stationary and will use the 4-hit ball throw, large orb, and Phantom Grip attacks. If left alive too long, these will spawn pairs of Fiends, which will rush the tank and self-destruct. These clones should be disposed of as soon as possible.

If the Dark Emissary is pushed to summon Mirror Images in the middle of her World Breaker Phase, she will cancel the latter entirely.

Only two Mirror Images can be active at one point. If the first set of adds are still alive by the time she is pushed to the second, she will still go into the summoning animation, but one or no adds will spawn.

Cold Storage
By: Shadovv
Guidance Video by Praetor19

Winter Mane, once a great warrior of the Blackram Eastern Fleet, has become corrupted by Dark Chi, indiscriminately attacking both friend and foe. He waits within his frozen wasteland for new challengers and victims alike.

Cold Storage can only be entered once per day until the daily quest reset (can be viewed in the minimap clock icon; resets at 12:00AM CST); the daily limit can be reset in your character menu with a Cold Storage Reset, from the Hongmoon Store, very rare drop from Avalanche Den, or events, in your inventory.

The dungeon is divided into two phases for its two bosses, and you may only clear both phases once before reset. If you enter with someone who has already completed the first boss without having done it yourself, the game will mark you as having already done the first boss, and will prevent you from killing it until reset.

Entrance:

The entrance to the Cold Storage is guarded by two sets of three patrolling Crushing Automatons. The miniboss, a Pulverizing Automaton waits at the bottom of the stairs. It uses spinning attacks that can be dangerous if not blocked or avoided, and will summon additional groups of automatons.

Winter Mane:

HP: 80,000,000

Enrage: 4:00

CC: 2x

Rotation:

Targeted punch. Blockable.

180 degree frontal sweep, knocks back and down. Blockable.

Targeted punch. Blockable.

3-hit spin, causes knockback and knockdown on the last hit. Blockable.

Area of effect roar, induces Freeze, blockable OR linear frostspewer, cannot be blocked.

If the aggro holder stands 9 meters or further away, Winter Mane will leash and punch them three times.

Periodically, Winter Mane enters a special rotation in the middle of its attacks:

Winter Mane will vocally declare “Coward!” and fires an ice wave at the furthest person from him, putting them in Frost Prison for 20 seconds, making them immune to attacks for the duration, the prison will deal damage and knock down when it ends. The prison cannot be escaped from, despite prompting Second Wind.

Winter Mane jumps at the aggro holder, causing an unblockable AoE when he lands.

One of the following:

Winter Mane performs a field-wide unblockable ice explosion, knocking back and knocking down anyone hit. Can be CC’d.

Winter Mane holds arms in front of its face. This is a counter, if someone hits him from any direction he will follow with a blockable AoE stomp that stuns.

Special Phase:

Every 10% of Winter Mane’s health he enters a mechanic:

Winter Mane will pound his fists together and shouts, gaining a permanent stack of “Defense Bonus”, increasing his defense by 10%. This buff stacks up to five times.

Winter Mane activates one of the Freezing Automatons in the corner of the room, which charge around the room. If these automatons hit Winter Mane at any point they will explode after a short delay causing any players hit by the AoE to be blinded and stunned. A ranged class can hit the automatons to gain aggro and position themselves in a way that prevents the automatons from running into the boss.

If a player is put in Frost Prison by Winter Mane and is hit by the automaton, the prison is removed and the entire party gains a stackable “Piercing Bonus” that increases piercing by 10%, countering Winter Mane’s defense bonus.

Winter Mane does an AoE that causes Freeze if not blocked or avoided.

Winter Mane performs a field-wide unblockable ice explosion, knocking back and knocking down anyone hit. This can be interrupted with CC and ideally should be whenever possible.

After doing the mechanic for 30%, six frost flowers will continuously spawn in random places on the field which will explode after a short delay, dealing damage and freezing anyone hit.

Kaari Lord:

HP: 55,000,000

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

At the docks outside the Cold Storage is a port that can only be accessed once Winter Mane is defeated. Inserting one White Orb that is dropped by Winter Mane into the middle pedestal will spawn the optional boss, Kaari Lord.

Rotation:

180 degree frontal staff sweep that will knock back and knock down anyone hit. Blockable.

One of the following:

Rear tail swing inducing that will knock back and knock down anyone hit, blockable

Linear lightning chest burst causing stun, blockable

Targeted downward hammer swing, blockable.

3-hit spin with a slight delay between hits, the last hit will knock back and knock down anyone hit. Blockable. Can’t be CC’d.

If the aggro holder stands 4 meters or further away, Kaari Lord will charge at them which causing stun, and then do a targeted shout which will cause knockback and knockdown.

Periodically, Kaari Lord casts a field-wide unblockable AoE lightning attack which will knock back and knock down anyone hit by it. This can be CC’d.

Rewards:

White Orb

Forming a Party

The Midnight at Skypetal Plains raid is located in Zaiwei, by the Cardinal Gates.

In order to enter Midnight at Skypetal Plains, you must have completed Act 4, Chapter 31. You must also be in a 12 person alliance, which is comprised of of two teams of six people.

This is not the same as 24 man zones in the past (Beastbog, Grimhorn Wilds). This is more like a 12 man dungeon, where only the people in your party can enter, and you start it from the beginning.

In order to make a 12 man alliance, you simply need to invite someone to a full 6 man party, and you will be prompted to create an alliance.

Party effects such as buffs and iframes only work in each individual party, therefore, you need to consider each party’s composition. An optimal 6 person party composition would include a Warlock or Warden, a Kung Fu Master or Assassin, a source of a party iframe (Force Master/Destroyer, Blade Master/Blade Dancer, or Assassin/Summoner can all fulfill this role), and a healer (Soul Fighter or Summoner). A Force Master/Destroyer specifically is preferred for phases 5 and 6. These will all make the kill faster or smoother, but none are required.

Spawning Sacred Longgui

When you first enter the raid, your map will look like this:

You will have infinite windwalk duration in this zone.

Each of the moons represents an encampment. Each encampment has one mushroom that is invulnerable, surrounded by 6 Grassquatches, and surrounding those are a large amount of small creatures, similar to the mobs in Twisted Grimhorn.

This is Sacred Longgui’s rage bar. You fill this up by killing mobs around the area. Each mob gives a set amount of points towards the rage bar, 15,000 points are needed to spawn the Sacred Longgui. The optimal methods to fill the bar will be explained in this guide.

These gates are scattered throughout the area. Running through one gives you a 30 second movement speed increase.

Whenever you kill one of the small mobs, the “Moonlight Poison” debuff is applied to you that reduces your Recovery by 5% and your max HP by 3%, negates natural regeneration, can stack up to 20 times, and is permanent until you leave the dungeon, die, or use the escape button (ESC -> System Menu -> Escape). Killing a Grassquatch will grant the “Moonlight Poison Neutralization” buff which dispels all stacks of the debuff, grants immunity to the debuff, and regenerates 8,135 HP per second over 10 seconds. When all of the mobs around a mushroom are killed, both small and large, the mushroom will become vulnerable, and you can kill it.

When the mushroom is killed, it drops an large seed, a hole appears in the ground, another camp will spawn nearby, and one of the three minibosses will spawn.

Putting the seed in the hole will spawn one of four mobs:

Worthless Bulbari, gives few points to the bar and nothing else, just ignore and move to the next camp. Far and away the most common result.

Treasure Plant, doesn’t give many points, but it can drop a locked soul shield box. Only the party of the person who picks up the box can bid on the box.

Spiny Woodfiend, gives some points to the bar, killing it grants the Spiny Woodfiend Energy buff which makes you immune to the Moonlight Poison debuff for 5 minutes.

Golden Mushroom, will instantly fill rage bar to max.

The most important event is spawning the three bosses. When you put an egg in the hole, a random boss will spawn that is not currently alive. Each location spawns a specific boss.

The Thrasher will spawn in the north, the Horned (Minoutaur) will spawn in the east, and the Shambling (Ironclad) will spawn to the west. Killing any of these bosses gives 1600 points towards the rage bar, and lightning will strike every one of the adds in every camp, delling massive damage (one shotting everything up to stage 5, one shotting all the small adds for every stage) and stunning the adds for a period of time.

Killing the Horned will also cleanse the Moonlight Poison across the raid, and killing Shambling will also heal the raid.

After killing a miniboss, there is a small chance for a rat to spawn. The rat can drop a soul shield box, again, only the people in the party who pick it up can bid on it.

Small chance for the Magma Woodfield to spawn here after killing one of the three main bosses, fights similarly to a Terror from Soulstone Plains. It will disappear after 1-2 minutes if not engaged. Successfully killing will cause Mites to spawn at each of the trees.

These Mites have low HP and fill up bar very quickly. Also a daily.

Once the rage bar fills the Sacred Longgui will spawn. Each of the trees will spawn a dragon pulse that leads back to the center.

This process repeats between every Sacred Longgui phase. All the minibosses will despawn, but any cleared camps will stay cleared.

After you kill a phase of Sacred Longgui, there is a chance for a golden pig to spawn.

The pig spawns next to any of the spiders on the map, locations below.

Killing the golden pig instantly fills the rage bar to max.

The golden spider can spawn whenever you kill a normal spider. Killing the golden spider gives 10,000 points to the rage bar.

Killing the Sacred Longgui

There are 6 phases to the boss, between each phase you need to go through the spawning procedure. Phases 2, 4 and 6 each have a dynamic quest involved, which gives you a dynamic quest box. Every phase of Sacred Longgui adds new mechanics to the boss, increases its HP, and gives it an enrage.

If you die, simply respawn and come back to the fight. Do not respawn if the boss is dead, or you won’t get any loot as you are respawning.

Loot is only given to people who hit the boss at least once, so wait until everyone is ready before going in.

Phase 1:

HP: 104,000,000

Enrage: None

CC Bars: Immune

No special attacks, just a standard attack rotation.

Stomp attack, can be either stomp forward with one foot, or Sacred Longgui will turn sideways, and first stomp in front of him, and then stomp behind him. Both of these attacks can be blocked.

One of two possible attacks:

Neck swipe in a cone in front of the Sacred Longgui. Can be blocked.

Bite attack, bends neck down and grabs the tank. If successful will chew and then throw the tank away, resetting their aggro if not iframed.

One of two possible special attacks:

Neck slam. Extend his neck and slam it down in a line in front of him. Will send anyone hit by this flying backwards, resetting their aggro. Unblockable, must be iframed or avoided.

Spin. Curls into his shell and rapidly spin, dealing damage over several hits and knocking back on the last hit. Can be blocked.

Circles of Death. Will create circles around him that deal damage and dazes after a few seconds. Unblockable, must iframe or avoid.

If at any point in time the tank is out of melee distance, the Sacred Longgui will jump on them. This will do AoE damage at the landing point, and knockback everyone hit by it. Unblockable, must be iframed or avoided.

Phase 2:

HP: 146,900,000

At 70% and 30% of the boss’s HP, he will jump to the center of the arena, emit a 16 meter unblockable AoE that stuns, and the ground will start emitting poisonous gas. This will constantly reapply the “Poison Cloud” debuff to everyone within a 100 meter radius, dealing 300-500 damage per 2 seconds.

Every phase increases the number of stacks of this debuff, one stack at phase 2, two at phase 3, three at phase 4, etc. The only way to remove this is by watering the plants, which shall be explained below.

How to Water the Plants

From phase 2 onwards, 5 groups of 6 brown Gnarlox mobs will spawn around Sacred Longgui as soon as you engage in the locations listed.

When you kill all 6 gnarloxes in a group, a bulbari will spawn where they were (nonaggressive).

Attacking the bulbari will cause it to disappear, and a Grassquatch to appear where the bulbari was.

When you kill the grassquatch, it drops a watering can, and after a short while the gnarloxes will respawn.

Around the edges of Sacred Longgui’s area, there are a total of 5 plants that look like venus flytraps by the gnarlox packs.

These plants can be watered by the watering can. Every watered plant reduces the number of poison stacks by one.

This poison does negligible damage, and is usually ignored.

Phase 3:

HP: 225,600,000

Circles of Death Barrage

Instead of his normal circles of death move, Sacred Longgui will instead do a barrage of circles. The first one will have a long warning time like normal, but will be followed up by 4 additional sets of circles in random spots around him.

This attack is very devastating to the raid, causing potential deaths, and even a wipe. To prevent this attack, after the Sacred Longgui does the neck slam or spin attack (the third attack), the tank should move 11m away from the Sacred Longgui to force it to jump to them, which will also reset its attack pattern. Once the tank see the Sacred Longgui start to gather itself to jump, they can move back to melee distance so that it jumps in place.

Note: A special attack (poison cloud or the poison swamp described later) does not reset Sacred Longgui’s attack pattern, despite the Sacred Longgui jumping to start it. The tank must keep this in mind when considering when they should force a pattern reset.

Poison Swamp

From phase 3 onwards, the Sacred Longgui will add a new special attack. In phase 3, at 80% and 40%, this message will show up.

The Sacred Longgui will eat something off its back, and then create a poisonous swamp around him that deals damage to everyone in its area, also applying the “Poison” debuff that deals 1,330 damage per 2 seconds over 10 seconds and stacks up to 5 times. The tank needs to back off, so the Sacred Longgui moves out of the swamp area, otherwise melee characters will not be able to hit the Sacred Longgui without taking massive damage. After several seconds, the poison swamp will disappear.

There is a method to prevent the poison swamp from appearing. If enough flowers around the edge are watered (two for phase 3, three for phase 4, etc.) in the time between Sacred Longgui eating the poisonous herb and it creating the swamp, then instead of creating the poisonous swamp, it will instead create a buff zone.

While you are standing in the AoE, the buff is constantly stacked. It lasts for 2 minutes, and gives you 3% bonus Attack Power, stacking up to 50 times. This buff requires heavy coordination but is generally considered unnecessary and not used.

Phase 4:

HP: 383,800,000

Counterspin

Starting in phase 4, the Sacred Longgui will add another attack to its basic attack rotation, and this one is the most dangerous of all of them. After his neck slam/spin attack, he will retreat into his shell, and as soon as any attack hits him, he will do a 16 meter AoE around him, dealing massive damage to everyone near him and knocking them back 50 meters, and resetting their aggro. It is extremely important for the tank to reset the Sacred Longgui’s attack pattern before this attack. The attack itself is instantaneous and very difficult to avoid, and if it is not iframed or prevented, it will likely kill a portion of the raid, and cause trouble for the rest.

Boss Summon

Starting in Phase 4, the poison swamp phase is changed from 80% and 40% to 90%, 50% and 10%, and an additional mechanic is added.

After he summons the poison swamp, he will jump at the farthest person, and proceed to do a spin attack toward the next farthest person, the number of spins increases in later phases (phase 4 has one spin, phase 5 has two spins, etc.). When he starts the spin attack, he will summon one of the minibosses (Spiny, Thrasher, Minotaur, Shambling, or Magma), but with a few caveats.

These bosses are unrootable, their CC bars are rarely vulnerable, and they have special attacks like the terrors in Soulstone Plains. The Retro Sheet by Praetor19 has all of the possible special attacks listed under the “special skills tab”. They will aggro onto the tank when they spawn, unless someone else draws their aggro.

The spiders around the raid zone will drop web balls, similar to the spiders from Gloomdross Incursion. These web balls can be used to immobilize the bosses that spawn for 15 seconds. This is the only way to prevent the bosses from just moving to the tank, and if they start using their special skills, it can cause the fight to become a mess.

These are the locations where the spiders spawn. The usual strategy is to have one person go kill the northern or southern spider before the miniboss is summoned, and be responsible for webbing the miniboss when it spawns.

Phase 5:

HP: 680,800,000

Roar

At 70% and 30%, before the Sacred Longgui jumps to emit the poison cloud, he will do a 16 meter roar. This roar will do 9 hits over about 5 seconds, and applies stun on each hit. Either a Force Master/Destroyer needs to sheath this, or party members attacking need to spam iframes (if they are not killing the adds on the edges). This can be Second Wind, so a common tactic without a Force Master/Destroyer is to use a shorter party iframe, tank a hit and use tab escape and other iframes to avoid the roar damage.

Phase 6:

HP: 1,284,000,000

Enrage: 10:00

Enrage

Starting at Phase 6, the Longgui will enrage and wipe the raid if it is not killed within 10 minutes.

Acid

When Sacred Longgui emits the poison cloud at 70% and 30%, he will also create a second damage over time debuff called “Acid” that does around 1,700 damage per 2 seconds. This is cleared when all 5 flowers are watered.

Second Miniboss

When the Sacred Longgui creates the normal poison swamp, he will summon 2 minibosses instead of 1. Split the raid evenly to deal with both before they start causing trouble.

Rewards

Sacred Longgui Treasure

Each stage of Longgui drops a lootbox. Stages 2, 4, and 6 also have dynamic box rewards.

Koldrak’s Lair

By: Shadovv

This sacred fiery beast, as powerful as legends claim, was no match for the Dark Chi. With its new overwhelming power, Koldrak could have destroyed the Earthen Realm were it not for the efforts of the Eight Masters, sealing it away within an icy prison. But as time passes, the primordial flame burns once more…

Koldrak’s Lair is a 12-man raid, but instead of a weekly lockout as with other raids, players are prompted to queue for the raid at 1:00am, 1:00pm, 4:00pm, 7:00pm, and 10:00pm CST (can be viewed in the minimap clock icon at the top right of the screen, called “Epic Challenge”). Players can enter all five entry times, although there is a daily quest.

Once the raid opens, while not in cross-server a queue prompt occurs at the bottom right of the screen, where players will be taken to the instance and randomly matchmake with 11 other players. The queue prompt lasts for 10 minutes or until a raid is completely filled, after which the path to the boss will open, and players will have 50 minutes to defeat Koldrak before they’re automatically removed from the raid.

Queue can be performed as a party or solo. However any pre-made party will automatically dissolve on entry, meaning that buffs such as Kung Fu Master’s/Assassin’s Fighting Spirit, Warlock’s Soulburn, Summoner’s Huzzah!, or Soul Fighter’s Chi Burst cannot be given to other players.

HP: 1,857,500,000

Enrage: N/A

CC Bars: Immune

The boss rests on a pillar in the center of the room, and is entirely stationary. Using strafe skills (Q/E) will bring you to the front of the boss.

Windwalking is allowed in the combat zone.

If you stand in the lava around Koldrak, including where his main tail is occupying, you will take very high damage over time.

If you die and revive, you will instantly respawn on the cliff looming over Koldrak. However during a quicktime event an ice field will spawn on the cliff that briefly freezes anyone who tries to pass through it.

Attacks:

Almost all of the boss’s attacks are unblockable.

Raises the tip of his tail to one of its sides and sweeps, causing knockback. This is the only attack that is blockable.

Raises the tip of his tail to one of its sides and slams downward.

Spawns series of geysers, causing knockdown. Some geysers leave a flaming whirlpool that moves around, causing aerial.

Drops three fireballs that causes a room-wide shockwave that can be jumped over, causes knockdown.

Lava on the far sides spew and rain down onto the edge.

If players take too long to phase Koldrak, he raises his main tail and sweeps, pushing everyone to the wall. The pushback ignores iframes. Afterwards, icicles fall from the ceiling, their impact zones causing knockback and knockdown.

After two main tail sweeps and Koldrak still has not phased, a brief cinematic cameras to his head where he releases a field-wide roar that pushes everyone back ignoring iframes. Afterwards, icicles fall from the ceiling.

There is a blindspot to the left of Koldrak where all of his attacks but the tail sweeps, geysers, fireball shockwaves, lava spew, and roar will not hit you. The main tail sweep can be avoided by briefly standing in the lava and getting pushed into the edge, or performing a windwalk jump glide.

Snowflake/Frost Sheath Buff:

The icicles caused by the main tail sweep and roar leaves shards, where upon touching them grants everyone the “Snowflake” buff increasing Attack Power by 50, Critical Damage by 100, Elemental Damage by 100, and HP by 500 per stack, this is permanent and persists through death and revival. Iframing into the shard will not give the buff.

10 stacks of Snowflake becomes 1 “Frost Sheath”, increasing Attack Power by 600, Critical Damage by 1,200, Elemental Damage by 1,200, Critical Rate by 5%, and HP by 6,000 per stack.

5 stacks of Frost Sheath becomes “Blooming Frost Sheath” increasing Attack Power by 5,000, Critical Damage by 10,000, Elemental Damage by 10,000, Critical Rate by 25%, and HP by 100,000. With this buff you will no longer receive Snowflake stacks.

This UI displays how many stacks of Snowflake/Frost Sheath you have. The big icon represents Snowflake, while the five smaller icons represents Frost Sheath.

Special Phases:

At 80%-90% of Koldrak’s health, a message warns “The world will pay for what it has done!” and a cinematic occurs where he will rip off the chain around its neck, and gain new attacks:

Raises his main tail and quickly slams down, causing pushback. The pushback cannot be iframed.

Spits a stream of fire covering half of one side of the room.

A brief cinematic cameras to Koldrak’s head, who will then proceed to spit fire to one of hits sides slowly sweep it three-fourths of the way. The flames leave a damaging field that does very high damage over time.

At 70%-80% of Koldrak’s health, a message warns “Bow before me!” and a cinematic occurs where he will spit a fireball that vacuums everyone to the center of the room, and wrap everyone up with his massive tail. A quick-time event is prompted and everyone needs to mash their spacebar button and fill a bar. Depending on how much the bar is filled Koldrak will be damaged by up to 10% of its max HP and grant up to 1 stack of Frost Sheath, otherwise nothing will happen.

At 50% of Koldrak’s health, a message warns “Purifying flames!” and a cinematic occurs where the entire room becomes encased in ice, only for Koldrak to break free and his skin to burn bright red, gaining the “Flame Armor” buff which increases his defense by 50%.

The next tail sweep that occurs causes icicle patches to appear on Koldrak’s tail. This is a separate hurtbox from the main tail, which lacks the Flame Armor buff.

At 10%-20% of Koldrak’s health, a message warns “Bow before me!” and a cinematic occurs where he will spit a fireball that vacuums everyone to the center of the room, and then prepare to charge up a large fireball. A quicktime event is prompted and everyone needs to mash their spacebar button and fill a bar. Depending on how much the bar is filled Koldrak will be damaged by up to 10% of its max HP and grant up to 1 stack of Frost Sheath, otherwise nothing will happen.

After this quicktime event, regardless of whether succeeded or not, Koldrak will then collapse and stop attacking for 10 seconds. The head is a separate hurtbox from the main tail, which lacks the Flame Armor buff.

Rewards:

Koldrak’s Treasure

Defeating Koldrak will drop a personal lootbox for pickup, the type of Koldrak’s Treasure given is based on your personal damage contribution:

Koldrak’s Treasure for dealing ~6% of the boss’s health.

Premium Koldrak’s Treasure for dealing 7%~14% of the boss’s health.

Elite Koldrak’s Treasure for dealing 15%~ of the boss’s health.

Quick-time events do not contribute to the damage contribution. In addition, dealing the final blow to Koldrak will yield one additional Koldrak’s Treasure.

Daily Quest

The raids lacks a dynamic quest. There is a daily quest that rewards two Koldrak Scales, which are used to buy items from Coin Exchange Merchant Junsorei who appears in most towns.

The quest does not actually require defeating Koldrak, but rather talking to Podan and Jakdan who appear after Koldrak’s defeat. If you mistakenly forgot to accept the quest before fighting Koldrak, simply escape (Esc -> Escape), run back to Dokdan to accept the quest, and then go back down to Koldrak. However, you cannot remotely complete the quest from outside the dungeon.

Corrections by Hikkidol

The Red Automaton Unit, a mysterious group of automaton meddlers, have overtaken the Tomb of the Exiled. They have captured several Talus Engineers and forced them to use their expertise of the Naryu to revive the Infernal Lord.

Lo Dan:

HP: 1,260,000 (Normal) / 1,980,000 (Hard)

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

At the bottom of the pit is a miniboss, Destroyer Lo Dan, surrounded by numerous Gunner, Force Master, Shieldbearer, and Automaton adds that are attracted once he is attacked. After tagging him, run behind the statue on the right to hide and draw all the adds in the corner to burst them down. If there is an Assassin, they can damage him in stealth for about half a minute until all the adds lose interest, after which they can safely pull only Lo Dan himself to the rest of the party.

Once Lo Dan is dead, a Dragon Pulse will spawn. Take it and kill the two Blade Master Workhouse Sentries guarding the boss chamber.

Jang Ghibu:

HP: 5,227,200

Enrage: 5:00

CC: 2x

Mengwol/Muwol:

HP: 1,735,800

This Force Master boss is accompanied by his two Destroyer wives, Mengwol and Muwol, from the second boss of Tomb of the Exiles. If either of them dies, Jang Ghibu releases a 3-hit rapid AoE that does massive but iframable damage.

Mengwol Rotation:

Targeted axe thrust.

Unblockable rectangle kick inducing Knockdown. Not CC’able.

Targeted axe swing.

Unblockable arc axe swing with a bit of windup, inducing Knockdown. Not CC’able.

Flaming 5-hit spins, this is actually a blockable attack despite having no indicator.

If her aggro holder stands too far 9 meters or further away, she will throw her axe to pull you back. If the axe throw fails, she will jump on you for an area of effect Knockdown.

Any of her knockdowns may cause her to launch you and hit you with an aerial Piledriver, which does sizable damage.

As majority of Mengwol’s attacks are unblockable, it is advised to have a ranged class to kite her around.

Muwol Rotation:

A linear rectangular axe chop that draw flame a distance in front of her.

Another linear rectangular axe chop.

Yet another linear rectangular axe chop.

5-hit spins. The first 0.5 sec of this spin has a deflect effect, and if hit into she’ll do a yellow axe sweep for Knockdown into a launch for an aerial Piledriver. Not CC’able.

If her aggro holder stands 9 meters or further away, she will perform a shoulder charge inflicting Daze.

Jang Ghibu Rotation:

100%-71%:

Fast cast fire projectile, inflicts Ember

Slow cast fire projectile, inflicts Ember

Instant linear rectangular fire Dragonblaze, inflicts Daze and Ember

Fast casting unblockable area of effect Fire Storm, inflicts Aerial if Dazed, inflicts Ember. Can be CC’d.

Instant bouncing fire projectile, deals no damage but stacks 2 Embers

Instant rectangle Impact, detonates Embers for very high damage

If the tank stands 9 meters or further away, Jang Ghibu uses Flame Fury to throw a volley of fire projectiles, then slides behind his aggro holder.

Periodically, Jang Ghibu casts Heatwave in between rotations, dropping a fire flower, then shortly detonate it for a unblockable area of effect Knockdown.

70%-41%:

Instant frost projectile, inflicts Chill for movement speed reduction and approach skill disables, transitions into Freeze on 3 stacks of chill inflicting root and Ice Coil explosion if the root is not escaped from

Slow cast frost projectile, inflicts Chill

Instant linear rectangle frost beam, inflicts Freeze, can be CC’d.

Instant frost projectile, inflicts Stun and Freeze, can be CC’d.

If the tank stands 9 meters or further away, Jang Ghibu uses Frost Fury to throw a volley of frost projectiles, then slides behind his aggro holder.

Periodically, Jang Ghibu vocally says “You will be mesmerized…” or “You cannot resist me!”, puts the furthest person from him in Frost Prison, slides behind them, and slowly casts Ice Coil for massive damage on the person in Frost Prison. Frost Prison can be escaped from Second Wind, and the Ice Coil casting can be CC’d.

40%-0%:

Slow cast fire projectile, inflicts Ember

Instant bouncing fire projectile, deals no damage but stacks 2 Embers

Sets a ring of fire, an unblockable targeted aoe with a wide area that will detonate the next attack

Slow cast wide linear unblockable rectangular flame Dragonchar, can be CC’d.

Instant Impact, detonates Embers

Slow cast frost projectile

Slow cast wide linear rectangular frost, inflicts Freeze, can be CC’d.

Ice Coil, regardless of Freeze status

If the tank stands 9 meters or further away, Jang Ghibu uses Flame/Forst Fury to throw a volley of flame/frost projectiles, then slides behind his aggro holder

Periodically, Jang Ghibu casts Frost Prison at the furthest person, slides behind them, and casts a linear rectangular Dual Dragons for massive damage on the person in Frost Prison. Dual Dragons comes out much faster than Ice Coil in the previous phase.

Love Barrier:

At the start of the fight, a message warns “Mengwol and Muwol send their love to Jang Ghibu” and Jang Ghibu’s wives will give him two buffs: “Mengwol’s Romance” and “Muwol’s Passion”, a love barrier giving him 45% damage reduction times two, for 90% reduction. When either of his wives reach 70% health, Jang Ghibu will transfer his shield to them allowing him to be properly damaged; when transferring the second shield all his debuffs are cleansed. An unblockable small area of effect five-second Time Bomb is generated on the wives once the shield is successfully transferred.

If the wives die, the shield is permanently lost.

Needs Love (70%/30%):

A message warns “Jang Ghibu needs love.” Jang Ghibu will jump into the middle and call his wives to him; they will stop whatever they are doing and jump to his sides, and once they land Jang Ghibu casts a field-wide Frost Prison, iframe it or remove it with Second Wind.

Jang Ghibu gathers energy and unleashes a field-wide unblockable area of effect love pulse that inflicts three consecutive hits while the wives to his side perform a dance. Use your iframes when the swirl effect starts to appear around his body. After the first area of effect, the wives will heal back to full health and return the shield to him.

Jang Ghibu resumes attacking with a new rotation. Meanwhile, the wives will spin around the room inflicting Aerial and bounce along the room’s edges back to their starting location, before resuming their own attacks. Following this, the wives must then be re-damaged back to 70% to transfer the shield from the boss to them.

Coordinate with the party on which of the Blade Master/Blade Dancer, Force Master/Destroyer, and Assassin/Summoner should use their party iframe on what segment of the attack.

Detector:

HP: 1,118,000
Enrage: None
CC: 2x

Lots of Gunner, Spearman, and Shieldbearer mobs in the way. If there is an Assassin, let them use Lotus of Rescue to teleport the party past the trash; wait for them to respec to Fighting Spirit before moving on.

Ahead is a miniboss, Force Master Detector, and behind him is a fire wall. He spawns numerous automatons that pinball around the room, so lure him to one of the gaps on the walls which they can’t reach. In addition to frost attacks, at 70% and 30% health, Detector casts Frost Prison when announcing “We are invincible!” then summon four self-destructing automatons.

After the Detector is down, all the automatons will self-destruct.

Ahead there are numerous steps that are scaled with windwalking. At the top is a lever that spawns a Dragon Pulse for the rest of the party to skip the steps.

Iron Juggernaut:

HP: 11,946,000

Enrage: 6:00

CC: 2x

Rotation:

Many of this boss’s attacks closely resemble Ironsides’ from Talus Dungeon and Ironheart from Mushin’s Tower Floor 14.

Targeted swipe, blockable.

Two frontal drills with a very small area of effect, inflicts Knockdown, blockable.

One of the following:

Fires a linear blockable rectangle spray of bullets in front of it inducing Knockback and Daze.

Fires a long unblockable linear laser in front of it inducing Knockback and Knockdown.

Unblockable area of effect electric pulse inducing Knockback and Knockdown. Can be CC’d.

If Iron Juggernaut is Knocked Down, it will fire a unblockable area of effect electric pulse and get back up, inducing Knockdown.

Iron Juggernaut is stationary; if the tank 5 meters or further away, Iron Juggernaut performs an electric projectile pull. If this succeeds, Iron Juggernaut curls up and slams the ground, producing a field-wide unblockable shockwave.

Iron Juggernaut is immune to Blade Dancer’s and Destroyer’s grabs, but not Kung Fu Master’s and Summoner’s grapples.

Recovery Automatons (75%/35%):

On reaching these HP thresholds, a message warns “Recovery Automatons are repairing Iron Juggernaut” and six Recovery Automaton with 2x CC Bars are summoned, three in the corners and three close to the center, and will be healing Iron Juggernaut.

All-Out Attack (70%/30%):

At these HP thresholds, a message warns “Detecting failure, attack automatons have arrived” and three Attack Automaton with 1x CC Bar are summoned close to Iron Juggernaut, and try to jump to Iron Juggernaut’s tank if not touched. Kill them immediately; on death, they drop a shield. They will eventually try to self-destruct, and if they do so they won’t drop a shield; use CC to stop them from self-destructing.

Once Iron Juggernaut finishes its current attack, a message warns “Iron Juggernaut has transformed for an all-out attack” and Iron Juggernaut curls up and becomes immune to attacks. It then targets the furthest person and fires three missile volleys that leave flaming puddles.

One or two people needs to pick up the shield left behind the Attack Automatons and run toward the doorways. The person leading the missiles must be closer to Iron Juggernaut before the final volley.

Iron Juggernaut re-targets the furthest person and fires three lightning pellets at them. This should be one of the shieldbearers, who must press 1 button to block the pellets while heading down the ramp. The block window is 0.8 seconds. Do not use party iframes or projectile shroud skills, they will prevent the pellets from being blocked. After blocking all the pellets, they must then approach and throw their shield at Iron Juggernaut, dealing 601,260 damage per pellet successfully blocked and stacks the Jolt debuff, 3 stacks will cause Iron Juggernaut to collapse and be knocked down for 5 seconds, prematurely ending the mechanic.

If Iron Juggernaut failed to receive enough Jolt stacks, it then re-targets the furthest person and fires two unblockable long-ranged linear laser beams. This will fail to hit if standing right next to the door.

Iron Juggernaut then re-targets the furthest person once more and fires three lightning pellets, which once again must be blocked by the second shieldbearer, and then thrown at Iron Juggernaut.

Iron Juggernaut charges energy and slams down three times with pauses in between, producing a field-wide unblockable shockwave. After the shockwaves, Iron Juggernaut will uncurl and can finally be attacked, and can be CC’d while doing so.

Corridor:

Lots of Combat Automatons in the way; watch out for the Guard Automaton siren patrols, who use an electric pull and activates the nearby automaton turrets. Let the Assassin use Lotus of Rescue, however the last two of three siren patrols have True Sight so be careful.

Take the Dragon Pulse to the final segment. Here are more siren patrols and automaton turrets, along with lasers that cause stun. Pulling the lever at the end of this segment despawns the lasers and automatons.

HP: 43,956,000

Enrage: 8:20

CC: 2x

The Infernal Lord revived with its flame power intact and refitted with a new lightning power; it is much more stronger and faster thanks to its newfound strength.

Despite it’s dauntingly high health, the Lord of the Flame is heavily damaged through player buffs and mechanics.

Rotation:

A frontal claw swipe in a cone inflicting Knockback, Daze, and Ember.

One of the following:

A frontal claw swipe in a cone inflicting Knockback, Daze, and Ember.

A rear 180 degree claw swipe in an arc inflicting Knockback, Daze, and Ember.

After 70%, Lord of the Flame throws a 5-second Time Bombs at the first person who attacked it since engaging. These bombs must be lured away from the party as they have a unblockable area of effect explosion inflicting Aerial to the carrier and Knockdown to others, and Ember to both.

Two-hit spin, second hit inflicts Knockback and Knockdown, and both hits inflict Ember. Can be CC’d.

Long-ranged unblockable linear flame breath.

If Knocked Down, Lord of the Flame does a quick get-up unblockable area of effect ground pound.

If the tank stands 9 meters or further away, Lord of the Flame will jump at them, creating an unblockable area of effect slam on landing, inflicting Knockback and Knockdown. If the tank is still too far, it will spit a fireball that leaves a large flaming puddle.

Special Rotation:

Periodically, Lord of the Flame will enter a new rotation in the middle of his standard one, and won’t stop to do anything else until after this rotation is completed:

Lord of the Flame jumps to the furthest person, creating a unblockable area of effect slam on landing, inflicting Knockback and Knockdown.

Lord of the Flame throws three 5-second Time Bombs at the first three people who attacked it since engaging.

Lord of the Flame spits fireballs that leave large flaming puddles on the people who carried the Time Bombs in the order of receiving the Time Bombs. Avoid putting these in the middle, and don’t charge in until he is in the spitting animation.

Lord of the Flame does a field-wide unblockable area of effect roar inflicting Stun and detonates Ember for massive damage. Comes out very fast, so be prepared to iframe.

Electric Shock (70%/30%):

Lord of the Flame cleanses all debuffs and jumps to the middle, producing an area of effect unblockable slam on landing. A message warns “Lord of the Flame is watching someone” and mark either the farthest person (70%) or the closest (30%).

Right after marking, a message warns “Lord of the Flame is preparing a powerful Electric Shock” and he will shoot an electric stream at the marker, chaining up to 1 other nearby player within 3 meters. Getting hit by this grants the “Electric Current” buff for 45 seconds, increasing Attack Power and Critical Damage by 50%, but if the marker does not share the stream they will receive two stacks which will deontate the buff for massive damage.

Lord of the Flame will then try to grab the closest person. If successful, and the victim possesses Electric Current, it will be stolen and permanently given to the boss which will increase his damage. However, if the boss receives 2 stacks of Electric Current, it will be damaged by 8% of its max HP. The grabbed victim will then be thrown with no damage incurred.

Next, Lord of the Flame will do four consecutive field-wide ground pounds, each hit causing pushback with the last causing knockback and knockdown. This can be interrupted with 2x CC.

The mark, electric shock, and grab are repeated. The mechanic finally ends with a very fast field-wide unblockable area of effect roar inflicting Stun and detonates Ember for massive damage.

Rewards:

Oath Necklace

The final boss has a chance to drop the legendary Oath Necklace. Hard Mode also has an extremely rare chance to drop the Chest of Desolation which is a tradeable chest containing the Oath Necklace and uses a key from Cold Storage to open.

You can also buy the necklace from Coin Exchange Merchant Junsorei in most towns for 100 Draken Cores, or from Celestial Peach Exchange Merchant Lee Youjin at Celestial Basin for 50 Cores and 8,000 Celestial Peaches.

While wearing the necklace, all attacks have a chance to apply the “Bane” debuff for 10 seconds, where anyone attacking the enemy with this debuff gains a 3 second buff increasing Attack Power by 10.

Forging Orb

This are used to upgrade to Balefu/Seraph from Stage 6 to 7 to 8 to 9, using one per stage. They can come in a sealed form which is tradeable.

Stone of Wisdom

This is used in breakthroughs for Draken Accessories, swapping between Dragon/Tiger Bracelet Stage 10, swapping between PvP/PvE Hellion Accessories, and breakthrough for Hellion Accessory Stage 0 when used with a Red Dragon Crux.

The final boss drops a chest containing this item. On Normal, the chest contains 1 with a chance for an additional 5; on Hard the chest contains 2 with a chance for an additional 10.

Ebondrake Citadel
By: Shadovv

Guidance Video by Praetor19

Guidance Video by AeonWcs

A base of operations of the Phantoms, a division of the Ebondrake Cult that meddles with dark chi. The Citadel is a prison where the Phantoms have captured and corrupted warriors to serve the Dark Lord, including Bonemask, Bokgon Brotherhood, Lycandi, Blackram, Shadowless, and Hao Society.

Corridor:

Short empty corridor. At the end is the first boss, who is being locked down by the Ebondrake Illusionsts, with two Kung Fu Master Ebondrakes, four Bonemask Patrol Contenders, Bonemask Elite Patrol Troopers, and the miniboss Bonemask Elite Patrol Captain. Attacking the Patrol Captain will aggro everything in the room; kill the aggressive Bonemask adds before killing the passive Force Master Ebondrake Illusionists that awaken Bukka, who will then aggro the person who killed the last Illusionist.

Bukka:

HP: 11,846,000

Enrage: 6:00

CC: 2x

2x Stun, Daze, and Knockdown is needed here.

Rotation:

Bukka fights similarly to any Bonemask Elite mobs.

Targeted swing.

Frontal linear unblockable shout, causes knockback and knockdown.

Targeted swing.

Two 180 degree frontal swings.

Three frontal swings while walking forward.

Dark Chi Circle:

After every minute, a message warns “Bukka summons a Dark Chi Circle” and Bukka performs a fairly fast unblockable area of effect shout around him and spawns a Dark Chi Circle, a persistent damage puddle, under him. The circle stays there permanently and if ten of these are on the field Bukka will immediately enrage and wipe the party.

Special Phase (90%/60%/30%):

On hitting these thresholds, Bukka will do a specific action and follow with two consecutive blockable spins that causes knockback and knockdown. 2x CC is required on the spin with a specific type matching the action, or he will repeat his action two more times, without spinning or any extra CC windows, and then create an additional two Dark Chi Circles under people. Successfully CCing provides a debuff on Bukka that prevents him from using the same ability in succession; all three debuffs change to “Enfeebled” which is a 5 second Daze.

90% “Bukka clears his throat”: He will do a rally call and summon a pair of Contenders and a Shock Trooper from the entrance, and then a 2-hit spin with Knockback and Knockdown on both hits. Double Stun the spin. Produces “Sore Throat” on successful Stun.

60% “Bukka rolls his shoulders”: Does a fairly fast field-wide red area of effect shout, then a 2-hit spin with Knockback and Knockdown on both hits. Double Daze the spin. Bukka gains “Dislocated Shoulder” on successful Daze.

30% “Bukka stretches his legs”: Charges in the direction of the tank, then on hitting the wall does a 2-hit spin with Knockback and Knockdown on both hits. Double Knockdown the spin. Produces “Broken Leg” on successful Knockdown.

Corridor:

A very short corridor containing just a pair of Kung Fu Master Defenders, just jump over them, and glide against the wall of the entrance to de-aggro them.

Magolka:

HP: 8,580,000

Enrage: 6:00

CC: 2x

Rotation:

This boss fights very similarly to Kaari Lord of Cold Storage.

Frontal rectangular staff swing.

Targeted downward hammer swing.

Long-ranged linear red rectangular dark breath, inflicts Knockback and Knockdown.

3-hit spin with pauses in-between, the last hit inducing Knockback and Knockdown. Can’t be CC’d.

If the tank stands 9 or more meters, Magolka jumps at them producing a unblockable area of effect slam.

Summons Help (90%/30%):

Magolka cleanses all debuffs and jumps to the middle, producing an unblockable area of effect slam that knocks back. A message warns “Magolka uses Magol Insight and summons help” and Magolka will plant his staff in the ground and summon a pair of adds: Bonemask Machung who does an area of effect shout, and Ploggle Golsun who throws poison projectiles. They spawn at random positions in the eight circles on the field but always on opposite ends. At the same time everyone will gain the “Magolka Energy” debuff. Kill the two adds immediately to dispel the debuff. Magolka can be CC’d to help extend the time needed to kill the adds.

Magolka does one of the following:

Long-ranged linear unblockable dark breath.

Fires projectiles at random people that inflicts knockback and knockdown.

Afterwards, Magolka does a five field-wide unblockable area of effect stomps. If Magolka Energy isn’t dispelled, everyone receives an inescapable lockdown that ignores iframe and each hit does very high damage, with the final hit being a knockback and knockdown. Additionally, the adds become immune to further damage, and are then absorbed by Magolka providing him a permanent stackable “Enhanced Attack Power” buff which increases his damage and also heals him by 5% per add.

Special Phase (60%):

Magolka cleanses all debuffs. He will then plant his staff down, before jumping to the furthest person from him. After landing, he does a field-wide unblockable area of effect roar, which can be stopped with CCs; If not interrupted, he will perform another roar which cannot be CC’d.

Magolka raises his staff, then charges in the direction of the furthest person, which he can be stopped with Block/Counter/Parry/Deflect skills.

Magolka repeats the jump, roar, and charge two more times. He will not repeat the staff raising animation.

He then jumps to the middle and starts firing projectiles at everyone. After two sets he will resume normal attacks.

Corridor:

Jump over the Blade Master, Kung Fu Master, and Force Master Senior Guards and Destroyer Senior Guard in your way as you head to a spiral staircase. There are five prison cells as you head down the stairs, only the first four are accessible until all of them are cleared. Each cell is guarded by a pair of Blade Master, Kung Fu Master, or Force Master Guard Cadets and a Destroyer Guard Cadet (Destroyer Guard has inherent True Sight, and can see Assassin players in stealth) and houses a miniboss that is inactive with the Force Master Illusionists hovering above them. These Illusionists pulse a buff, varying by cell, to each of the minibosses in the other Cells.

Force Master Bi Chunhan and Kung Fu Master Lak Rin of the Bokgon Brotherhood, the first bosses of Tomb of the Exiled. While sealed, they pulsate “Bi Chunhan Defense”, granting 40% damage reduction to the other jailed minibosses.

Spearman Chuluun the Strong and Archer Sakhi the Swift of the Lycandi, assisting NPCs from Awakened Necropolis. While sealed, they pulsate “Lycandi Dodge”, granting 45% Evasion to the other jailed minibosses.

Blade Master Wun Gwangyi, Flame Force Master Fah Ri, and Frost Force Master Ise Si of the Blackram, the second bosses of Blackram Narrows. While sealed, they pulsate “Wun Gwangyi Defense”, granting 40% damage reduction to the other jailed minibosses.

Assassin Dark Striker, Blade Master Nightshade Warden, and Force Master Nightshade Warden of the Shadowless, the bosses of Shadowstrike. While sealed, they pulsate “Black Viper Dodge”, granting 45% Evasion to the other jailed minibosses.

Kung Fu Master Choi Mansik, Assassin Weasel, Hammer Brute Diamond, and Force Master Red Fox of the Hao Society.

Split your party to kill everything and everyone in the first four cells, then eliminate the final cell. After the final cell is cleared, walk through the doorway to the final cell to trigger a cutscene that removes the barrier to the final boss. If you try to enter the final boss chamber without triggering the cutscene, you will instantly die.

Bale Phantom Zakhan:

HP: 35,772,000

Enrage: 9:00

CC: 2x

This Ebondrake demon serves as the warden of the Citadel, and true to his nature he is armed with powerful, dark energies. Despite his massive sword, his attacks are deceptively and devastatingly quick, making him truly a force to be reckoned with.

Despite his dauntingly high health, majority of damage dealt is inflicted through mechanics and buffs.

Party Stealth via Assassin or Summoner is required here. However, be very careful with your DPS, as pushing Zakhan to perform consecutive phases may render the Assassin/Summoner’s party iframe unavailable due to cooldowns, and thus fail the next mechanic and likely cause people to die.

Rotation:

His rotation is entirely random, some are extremely fast, and all of them cause some form of CC, making him difficult for inexperienced tanks.

Fast single downward frontal swing. Sometimes he will follow up with one or two more downward swings, which have near instantaneous speed. Causes knockdown. Blockable. First swing is CC’able if followed after teleporting away.

Fast double 180 degree frontal swipes. Second hit causes daze. Blockable and CC’able.

Slow long-ranged wide frontal unblockable crescent energy wave, inflicts Knockback and Knockdown.

Slowly drags his blade across the ground and throws a narrow long-ranged frontal unblockable crescent energy wave.

After 90%, Zakhan summons six red area of effect dark circles on areas around him that explode, inflicts Knockback and Knockdown. These have visible indicators even in 4-man.

Despite his incredible speed, it is possible for the tank to stand under Zakhan and run inside him and out, allowing them to avoid his attacks without having him turn around.

If the tank stands 9 meters or further away, he will shoot a fast long-ranged wide unblockable crescent energy wave. If they are still too far, he will teleport behind the tank.

Demonic Energy (90%/60%/30%):

First at 90%, a message warns “Bale Phantom Zakhan shows his true self”, changing his right arm cloak to a monstrous arm.

Zakhan teleports to the center of the room, and a message warns “Bale Phantom Zakhan is watching someone” (90%) or “Soulbinding Eyes: Bale Phantom Zakhan has his sights on someone” (60%/30%), and marks the furthest person from him, who gains a red swirl. Everyone needs to huddle up under the boss.

Zakhan raises his monstrous arm, at the peak he will let out a grunt and fire a 3 meter blockable area of effect blast at the marker; everyone except the marker must stop attacking so the Assassin/Summoner can use Protection Decoy/Enhanced Seed Shroud to stealth all the non-markers. Marker is immune to the blast, so they won’t proc stealth iframe; if the Assassin is the mark they must avoid using enter stealth skills.

After the blast, Zakhan will proceed to fire four single-target dark projectiles in the order of the people who first hit him since engage, but only target non-stealthed people.

Anyone without the marker who is hit by this will receive the “Twisted Chi” debuff for 10 seconds which immobilizes players and disables all their actions, does very high damage over time and receiving any attack under Twisted Chi does very high damage but removes the immobilize.

The marker is needed to be hit by all four but will receive no damage, gaining the “Demonic Energy” buff for 2 minutes but daels a small damage over time and becomes Twisted Chi on expiration, and the “Demonic Energy Resonance” buff for 10 seconds which lets the marker share the former to nearby players.

The mechanic is failed if the marker was not hit by all four projectiles because they went to other people. This happens if the marker did not lure the area of effect blast to be stealthed to everyone, someone was not in range of the area of effect to be stealthed, the Assassin/Summoner failed to stealth, the marker entered and did not leave stealth, or a non-marker immediately attacked and left stealth.

Once Zakhan lifts his arm up and starts firing the blasts, he has finished his targeting sequence so everyone can resume attacking.

A message warns “Bale Phantom Zakhan uses Heaven’s Breach”: he will cast a field-wide force lift for 5 seconds that is not iframable, then does a field-wide unblockable area of effect explosion that knocks back and knocks down. However, having the Demonic Energy buff will render immunity to Heaven’s Breach, but causes a 5 second root. Escaping the root does not rebind nor render vulnerability.

If players failed to receive Demonic Energy, using an Blade Master’s Winged Protector or Force Master’s/Destroyer’s Frost Sheath/Iron Plating will still negate the damage. Getting marked or being the 5th or 6th person to hit Zakhan from the start guarantees not getting immobilized by Twisted Chi.

Dark Void:

After 90%, Zakhan will cast this rotation every 90 seconds.

Zakhan teleports to the middle and a message warns “Bale Phantom Zakhan uses Dark Void”, casting a field-wide vacuum and then prepare for a field-wide unblockable area of effect. The pull cannot be iframed, but the daze can be negated by skills that explicitly list daze (e.g. Blade Dancer’s Vortex, Destroyer’s Hurricane, Warlock Sanctum Move 2, Summoner Backstep for only the cat). The easiest way to stop this is to simply have two non-Assassins, Summoners, or Warlocks use Second Wind Daze.

Zakhan casts 6 dark exploding circles. Afterwards, he will grab the furthest person which cannot be iframed and briefly hold them in place before throwing them. If the victim possesses Demonic Energy and survives the throw, after the tumbling animation ends he will steal the buff for 60 seconds and become stronger, but becomes damaged by 8% of his max HP when it expires.

Rewards:

Destiny Ring

The final boss has a chance to drop the legendary Destiny Ring. Hard Mode also has an extremely rare chance to drop the Faded Artificer Box which is a tradeable chest containing the Destiny Ring and uses a key from Cold Storage to open.

You can also buy the ring from Coin Exchange Merchant Junsorei in most towns for 100 Draken Cores, or from Celestial Peach Exchange Merchant Lee Youjin at Celestial Basin for 50 Cores and 8,000 Celestial Peaches.

The ring’s proc effect is aimed towards PvP. While wielding this ring, all attacks have a chance to apply the “Distraction” debuff for 15 seconds, decreasing the target’s Critical Defense by 35 and prevents PvP Galaxy Weapon stacks from being created. This stacks to 10 times.

At 10 stacks Distraction transforms into “Agony” and lasts 15 seconds or if the target is hit 9 more times, decreasing the target’s Critical Damage by 350 and inflicts 10% Focus Damage each time the target is hit.

Forging Orb

This is used in breakthroughs for Draken Accessories swapping between Dragon/Tiger Bracelet Stage 10, swapping between PvP/PvE Hellion Accessories, and breakthrough for Hellion Accessory Stage 0 when used with a Red Dragon Crux.

Draken Core

The final boss drops a chest containing this item. On Normal, the chest contains 1 with a chance for an additional 5; on Hard the chest contains 2 with a chance for an additional 10.

A Draken accessory can be received by trading in 100 Draken Cores to Coin Exchange Merchant Junsorei in most towns, or 50 Cores and 8,000 Celestial Peaches to Celestial Peach Exchange Merchant Lee Youjin at Celestial Basin.

Lair of the Frozen Fang

By: Volmie
Corrections by Shadovv

A secret altar within the Frostscale Basin, the Naga, Jomu, and Chuanka have teamed up and have schemed to use human sacrifices to resurrect the Snake Queen, whose powers was once said to have rivaled the Dark Lord’s.

Corridor:

Upon entering the dungeon you’ll be greeted by groups of Naga mobs, this is a common theme throughout this dungeon, and you’ll be clearing at least one group of them in every corridor before moving on.

Once you have cleared the first set of trash mobs in the initial hallway and main room, you’ll find two mini bosses on the left and right of the main room. Both of them must be killed in order to move forward, but they do not have to be killed at the same time.

Jarakhan:

HP: 789,000

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

This miniboss fights similar to Jomu bosses and is a relatively straightforward fight. At some point into the fight it will spawn Naga adds to assist it.

Rotation:

Targeted punch, blockable.

Frontal 180 degree swipe into a front smash, both are blockable, second hit causes knockdown.

One of the following:

Ground slam in an area of effect, unblockable, causes knockback and knockdown

Roars in an area of effect, unblockable, causes knockback and knockdown

Roar or ground slam – He will swap between these two attacks during his pattern, both are AoE attacks that cannot be blocked and will knock back and disable as well as do a large chunk of damage.

If the tank stands 9 meters or farther away, Jarakhan throws two ice projectiles at them, both are blockable.

Gotem the Fist:

HP: 1,090,000

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

This miniboss is a Yeti elite add, but is considerably more dangerous than Jarakhan.

Gotem is surrounded by small yetis which can be quite problematic if left alone, and will spawn more of them as the fight goes on. There are machine guns located in the corners of the room to assist in dealing with these mobs.

Rotation:

Double frontal 180 degree claw swipes, blockable

Frontal 180 degree hand clap, blockable, causes stun

Ground smash in an area of effect, unblockable, causes knockback and knockdown

Targeted uppercut, blockable, causes knockback and knockdown.

If the tank stands 9 or more meters, Gotem jumps at them creating an unblockable area of effect on landing.

Court Lady Sa:

HP: 872,000

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

After killing the two initial minibosses, the next room contains another set of Nagas, after they are killed this Naga miniboss will spawn.

Like the previous two minibosses she will spawn adds during the fight. The face statues on the walls will also shoot projectiles at the tank until the monsters are dead.

Rotation:

Targeted swipe, blockable

Frontal linear poison spit, unblockable

Spinning tail sweep in an area of effect, blockable, causes knockdown

If the tank stands 9 meters or farther away, Court Lady Sa will charge at them.

Chuchu:

HP: 1,210,000

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

The first true boss of this dungeon, this boss fights identically to the Chuanka bosses in the Shiverstone Range area.

Rotation:

Targeted claw swipe, blockable.

Double frontal 180 degree claw swipes, blockable.

Frontal linear frost breath, unblockable, stacks Chill, stacks Freeze on 3 stacks of Chill

3-hit area of effect spin, blockable, last hit causes knockback and knockdown.

If the tank stands 9 meters or farther away, Chuchu throws two blockable frost projectiles.

Bladescale Totems 75%/50%/25%:

Chuchu cleanses all debuffs and then jumps to the middle, creating an unblockable area of effect impact on landing.

A message warns “Chuchu is summoning Bladescale Totems” and Chuchu does a roar animation, summing four totems around it at the 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 positions. After a few seconds, these totems will spawn small Yeti adds to harass the party.

Chuchu cleanses all debuffs and jumps to the furthest person from it. The impact on landing can destroy the totem. It will then keep jumping until all four totems are destroyed, cycling between the tank and furthest person.

Corridor:

Another group of Naga adds, once they are dead, there are two doors leading to the final bosses. Only one of these doors can be opened at your choice; the left door will lead to the Tetralisk Queen and the right will lead to the Bladescale Naga King, with another wave of adds before them.

Tetralisk Queen:

HP: 1,650,000

Enrage: 2:50

CC: 2x

Tetralisk Queen is the easier of the two bosses, having no real mechanics aside from summoning adds.

Rotation:

Targeted punch, blockable.

Frontal linear tail slam, unblockable, causes knockdown

Frontal poison spray in a cone, unblockable

3-hit area of effect spin, blockable, each hit causes knockback and knockdown

Poison area of effect, the ground around the boss will slowly fill with poison and upon reaching the boss will deal damage and poison anyone hit by it, unblockable, causes knockback and knockdown

Frontal frost spray in a cone, unblockable

Adds:

After about a full rotation, the Tetralisk Queen will summon four Naga adds, either being melee or ranged.

Later on, she will spawn icicles that drop from the ceiling and create an area of effect impact. These icicles will create frost area of effects around it, but can be destroyed using the flamethrowers in the corners of the room.

Bladescale Naga King:

HP: 2,010,000

Enrage: 3:30

CC: 2x

Of the two final bosses, the Bladescale Naga King is a bit more difficult, with more health and an actual mechanic.

Rotation:

Targeted stab, blockable.

Frontal 180 degree slash, blockable.

Frontal downward sword slam, unblockable, causes knockdown.

3-hit area of effect spin, blockable, each hit causes knockback and knockdown.

Raises its shield in front of it, then does a frontal 180 degree unblockable shield bash in front of it. The shield will block attacks, but remains vulnerable from behind.

If the tank stands 5 meters or farther away, the boss will spit a poison blob that leaves a damaging puddle. If they’re still too far, the boss will jump to the tank, creating an unblockable area of effect impact.

Bladescale Totems:

After about a full rotation, the Bladescale Naga King enters a mechanic.

The boss cleanses all debuffs, then jumps to the middle of the room, creating a blockable area of effect impact.

A message warns “Bladescale Naga King is summoning Bladescale Totems” and three totems, the Blessing of Defense (green) located at the 1:30 position, the Blessing of Focus (blue) at 6:00, and Blessing of Life (red) at 10:30, will spawn around the room, forming a triangle.

The boss will gain a buff from one of the totems for 60 seconds. A message warns “Bladescale Naga King has gained the Blessing of [Totem] effect. Destroy Blessing of [Totem] and Blessing of [Totem].” The other two totems that weren’t absorbed by the boss need to be destroyed in order for the totem that the boss pulled energy from to pulsate a buff to nearby players.

The boss’s Blessing of Defense causes you to receive damage for hitting the boss. The totem will heal players.

The boss’s Blessing of Focus causes you to lose focus for hitting the boss. The totem will restore a small amount of focus to players.

The boss’s Blessing of Life increases the boss’s defense. The totem will increase the player’s attack power.

The boss will then spit three poison puddles toward the tank. Afterwards it will resume its normal rotation; either the tank must lure the boss to the remaining totem, or a Destroyer or Blade Dancer CCs and grabs the boss and brings it there.

Awakened Necropolis

By: Volmie
Corrections by Shadovv

A powerful demon stirs the Dark Chi once more within the Necropolis, the Snapjaw and Skyhaven Resistance work to contain it.

Entrance:

Before entering, there is a daily questgiver that asks killing 20 Bloody Jiangshi, 10 Stalker Jiangshi, and a Profane Jiangshi in the first area.

To begin your journey with clearing the Awakened Necropolis, you’ll have to wallrun on the rock located on the right side from the entrance. If you don’t have extended Windstride (Purification Jar quest), you may have to stop on the lower rock and wait a moment for it to recharge. This is done to avoid fighting the large groups of skeleton mobs between the entrance and the first boss area. From this location, you’ll have to glide towards your first objective. In the air you need to follow the road shown on the mini-map, and stay focused as the invisible walls are close together and you may start falling if you bump into any of them.

Note:

For first timers, you’ll notice a one-time quest, “Graveyard Party Favors”, that requires you to kill additional monsters below the air path. This quest isn’t required to progress the dungeon. Either ask your group beforehand to help you with killing those or visit the dungeon with a friend to complete the additional quest.

Profane Jiangshi:

HP: 1,790,000

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

The boss here is similar to the Field Boss in the Highland Necropolis zone. It is recommended to clear the patrols of Jiangshi before starting the boss, as they will all swarm the tank or first person to hit the boss if left alive.

Attack Pattern:

Targeted swipe, blockable.

Frontal 180 degree swipe, blockable

Frontal double swipe, blockable, failing to block or iframe this attack greatly reduces threat, making it crucial for tanks to not get hit by this

Frontal two-hand uppercut, blockable, causes knockback and knockdown

Frontal downward slap – Blockable

If the tank stands 9 meters or further, Profane Jiangshi jumps at them creating an unblockable area of effect slam.

Attack Pattern 60%:

At 60%, the boss will do a roar animation and its attack pattern changes with several new attacks.

Frontal Phantom Grip in a large cone, unblockable and covers massive range in front of it.

Fairly fast AoE roar, unblockable and knocks down, deals very high damage and has very little windup so be prepared to iframe

Summons 4 zombie adds

Long range frontal spit attack, blockable, causes knockback and knockdown.

Phantom Grips the tank, if successful holds them in the air for a moment and drops them, blockable, causes daze.

Targeted swipe.

Frontal double swipe.

Demonseal Core:

There is a daily questgiver requesting the defeat of Lycan in this next area.

In the main Necropolis area a Demonseal Core will spawn at the Soul Ward. To activate it, you must defeat the Pyre Lord guarding it’s spot. The Pyre Lords cannot be stunned, dazed, knocked down or knocked back, however they are not immune to root.

Pyre Lord’s attack pattern:

Front Smack x2, blockable

Double Smack, blockable

Front Smack, blockable

Long Charge AoE, indicated by red and black swirls around the Pyre Lord’s hands, this AoE can blocked, but will do a large chunk of damage and knock you backward if not avoided. Charge time for this attack is roughly 3 seconds.

If the aggro holder stands 4 or more meters from the Pyre Lord, it will do a frontal unblockable Phantom Grip before throwing its victims away and deals very high damage.

Defense:

Once the Pyre Lord is dead, the defense portion begins. 3 Snapjaw Shaman NPCs and a Demonseal Core will spawn, the Shamans will slowly heal the core, and you must defend it from waves of mobs with additional NPCs helping you defend the Shamans. Once the core is fully healed and active, typically after around 6 complete waves of mobs, the dragon pulse to the final boss opens in the middle of the map in front of the Sealed Palace.

Enemies will start to pour in and attempt to destroy the core; if it dies the Pyre Lord respawns and must be killed again to restart the defense process. There are six waves of enemies in total.

Enemies include:

Phantom: Rushes to the Shamans and self-destructs, creating an AoE that causes movement speed reduction and deals very high damage. The defense NPCs will never directly target these, and so should be prioritized above all else.

Bone Ebonfiend: Standard melee enemies, although they have no special qualities.

Corpse Fiend: Slightly stronger Bone Ebonfiends but still of nothing noteworthy.

Flying Fiend: Attacks at range and is immune to knockdowns.

Fiendhounds: Summons 2 zombies but does not attack itself.

Hulking Fiends: Stronger melee enemies with 2x CC bars. Appears in later waves.

The defense portion is relatively straightforward. While defending the core there are two things to keep in mind, the first being to keep your eyes open for various Pot Dogs that will spawn at the beginning of each wave, when they are killed they drop either a box of bombs, a rifle, or a flamethrower, and these items can be very helpful in dealing with the waves of attackers.

The second thing to remember, and the most important, is the priority in which you should kill the monsters attacking the core. In order of importance, Phantoms > Flying Fiends > Fiendhounds > Hulking Fiends > everything else. It’s also important to remember that while the NPCs assisting you are not by any means weak, but they cannot defend the core on their own, and they will almost always completely ignore Phantoms, which coupled with the fact that they explode and deal significant damage is why you want to kill them as quickly as possible. If you’re unable to kill them before they explode, which is shown by a countdown above their head, do your best to avoid the damage from the explosion.

If the core is not fully healed by the 6th wave is complete, it will reset back to the 1st wave and continue to pour enemies.

Lycan:

HP: 1,280,000

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

This boss patrols the main Necropolis zone in a counterclockwise motion starting from the top left, have a few people intercept it at Snapjaw Camp. It is very similar to the field boss from Lilystalk Tradepost.

If the Demonseal Core is active, Lycan will despawn.

Attack Pattern:

Targeted swipe, blockable.

Rears back and pounces the ground in front of it, blockable, causes knockback and knockdown.

Targeted swipe.

Gathers electrical energy and discharges it in an AoE, blockable, causes knockback and knockdown.

Jumps on the tank, creating an AoE impact on landing, blockable, causes knockback and knockdown.

If the tank stands 9 or more meters, the boss jumps at them, creating a blockable AoE impact.

Scorpion Queen:

HP: 2,630,000

Enrage: 3:05

CC: 2x

Attack Pattern:

Targeted pinch, blockable

Sweeps her claws inward then outward in a 180 degree motion in front of her, both hits are blockable, causes knockdown on the second hit

Targeted pinch

Jumps and smashes her claws in front of her, causes knockdown.

One of the following:

Stabs with her poisonous tail in a line, blockable.

Raises herself on her tail briefly before doing a single spin, blockable, causes knockback and knockdown.

If the tank stands 9 meters or further, she will Phantom Grip the tank and hit them repeatedly, dealing very high damage.

Nightmare Wave:

After a minute and 15 seconds into the fight, a message warns “Scorpion Queen is preparing to cast Nightmare Wave” and she will dash to the center of the room and create a small damaging AoE impact there. She will then balance herself on her tail and slam her body into the ground, creating a field-wide unblockable AoE. There are two sets of three slams; the second slam is immediately after the first, while the third slam is delayed. Each slam does a very high amount of damage and causes knockback and knockdown.

While you can iframe each slam, there is a mechanic that helps alleviate the damage. Throughout the fight leading up to the Nightmare Waves, small scorpion adds will spawn around the area, indicated by poison pools forming on the ground. When killed, they provide a stacking defense buff for 10 seconds and greatly reduces the damage done by the Nightmare Waves and prevents the knockback and disable effects they would normally cause.

In order to have these scorpions available for the Nightmare Waves, a ranged character should attack them once with a low damage attack in order to get aggro on them and then kite them away from the rest of the group until they are needed so that they do not die. When the phase begins the scorpions should be killed one-by-one ideally right before the first slam hits to maximize the time the buff is active.

Rewards:

Lost Hongmoon Secret Technique – Volume 2, Chapter 2

When combined with the “Lost Hongmoon Secret Technique – Volume 2, Chapter 1” from Avalanche Den, the “Retrieved Hongmoon Secret Technique – Volume 2” is created. This unlocks a Hongmoon skill. The skill unlocked varies by class:

Blade Master: Winged Protector 1, 2

Kung Fu Master: Counter 2, 3 (Elbow Smash)

Destroyer: Hurricane 2, 3

Force Master: Impact 2, 3

Assassin: Decoy 1

Summoner: Seed Shroud 1

Blade Dancer: Vortex 1

Warlock: Soul Shackle 1, 2

Soul Fighter: Elbow Smash 3

Gunslinger: Standoff 1

Avalanche Den

By: Meiyu
Corrections by Shadovv

The Stratus Princess Solaan was believed to be seen in these caves, but in truth the Angler Yeti takes her disguise to lure people to their cold graves.

Corridors:

This dungeon has 3 corridors to run between each room. Each corridor is filled with mushrooms, snowballs and yetis. 3 mushrooms are staggered throughout the length of the corridor, each uses a projectile pull, Use iframes and dashes to make your way to the end of the corridor, where a totem can be killed to despawn the mushrooms, snowballs, and yetis.

Mighty Chubaro:

After the first corridor is the first miniboss, Mighty Chubbaro, standing on top of a large pillar, surrounded by many small yeti. This miniboss hurls large chunks of ice that cause knockdown, and icicles will also fall down around its pillar. Only targeted range attacks will be able to attack the Mighty Chubbaro while he is standing on his pillar.

The miniboss can also be knocked off the pillar, to do so, your party may either use a double knockback, or throw snowballs obtained from killing the smaller yetis. If your party has a Blade Dancer, it is also possible for them to grab the miniboss after a double CC is applied. If the aggro holder stands behind the miniboss in close proximity to the pillar, he will attempt to turn to face them and may gradually “slide” off the pillar.

After the Mighty Chubarro is killed, the trash yetis will despawn and the door to the next corridor will open.

Yeti Chief Hunter:

After making your way through the second corridor, you’ll enter a small antechamber and a main room. This room is made up of a circular field, with a ramp on the right side that leads to a door to the next corridor. This room is filled with various Jomu mobs, and has a miniboss Yeti Chief Hunter that patrols around in a circle.

When the Chief is aggro’d, the entire rooms mobs will also aggro. This room has no mobs with True Sight, so an Assassin can perma-stealth to kill the miniboss. In the event that your party does not have an Assassin, you may choose to either lure the Chief up the ramp, or simply to clear the room. If your party has a Destroyer or Blade Dancer, they can grab the miniboss and manually bring it up the ramp.

Once the Yeti Chief Hunter has been killed, the door to the next corridor leading up to the boss will open.

HP: 3,210,000

Enrage: 6:20

CC: 2x

When the boss is engaged, it will do a taunting gesture while saying “Humans are so stupid”, and can be CC’d during this.

Rotation:

Double frontal 180 degree swipes, blockable, cannot be CC’d

Frontal 180 degree Hand Clap, blockable, causes stun, cannot be CC’d

One of the following:

Area of effect Jump, unblockable, causes knockdown

Walks backward 8 meters, is immune to damage while walking, very fast and can register the tank being too far if they don’t react

Targeted uppercut, blockable, causes knockback and knockdown, cannot be CC’d

If the tank stands 9 meters or farther away, Angler Yeti jumps at them creating an unblockable area of effect slam on landing.

If Angler Yeti receives a knockdown, it will do an unblockable getup stomp.

Heat Phase 90%/70%/50%:

The Angler Yeti jumps to the middle of the room, creating an unblockable area of effect slam on landing.

A message warns “The Angler Yeti is absorbing the surrounding Heat” and the Angler Yeti does a field-wide unblockable area of effect vacuum that pulls in all players and dazes, with the inability to use Retreat. Everyone will receive a 20 second “Hypothermia” debuff that transforms into the “Freeze” debuff that immobilizes you and prevents usage of skills, but makes you immune to damage.

The Angler Yeti attempts to grab the tank. If successful, they will receive the “Heat” buff for 10 seconds which cleanses Hypothermia/Freeze and increases Attack Power by 10 and stacks 5 times, and can spread to nearby players. The boss then throws them after.

If the tank is not in range, iframes this grab, or is a Summoner/Warlock familiar, the grab will fail.

The boss does not attempt this grab at 50%.

The Angler Yeti jumps on the tank, creating an unblockable area of effect slam on landing. He will do this three times in total, and can be CC’d on the 2nd and 3rd jumps. If he is CC’d he will stop jumping and skip to the next attack.

Do not root or grab the boss during this, if the boss’s attacks are delayed the Hypothermia will eventually convert into Freeze.

After being CC’d, or completing his jumps, the Angler Yeti will charge up a field-wide unblockable area of effect powerful slam. This slam will do greatly increased damage to all players that are under the effects of Freeze. After the slam, a heat geyser will erupt from the ground, standing on top of this will grant the Heat buff.

Blade Master/Blade Dancer’s Winged Protector/Maelstrom and Assassin’s/Summoner’s Protection Decoy/Enhanced Seed Shroud should be used here to protect the party from damage.

Force Master’s/Destroyer’s Frost Sheath/Iron Plating does not protect people from the slam if they are under the effects of Freeze.

Cold Phase 40%:

The Angler Yeti jumps to the middle of the room, creating an unblockable area of effect slam on landing.

A message warns “The Angler Yeti is absorbing the surrounding Cold.”

Snowflakes will appear around the Angler Yeti, and it will do a field-wide unblockable area of effect frost field that applies 3 stacks of Freeze.

The Angler Yeti will charge up a field-wide unblockable area of effect powerful slam. This slam will do greatly increased damage to all players that are under the effects of Freeze. After the slam, a heat geyser will erupt from the ground, standing on top of this will grant the Heat buff.

The Angler Yeti stomps the ground, causing 8 icicles to rain from the ceiling and strike random areas around the field, except for the edges. At this time, Mushrooms that line the outer edge of the boss room, will unfreeze. The icicles will leave behind pools of ice, which if stood on apply Freeze. In order to clear the pools, you may either stand on them, or throw heat orbs that are dropped by killing the mushrooms.

Cold Phase 30%/<30%:

While under 30%, the Angler Yeti will repeat this mechanic every 30 seconds until it dies. While similar to the 40% phase, the boss will now interact with the leftover ice pools on the ground.

When the message “The Angler Yeti is absorbing the surrounding Cold.” appears, the Angler Yeti will absorb any over ice pools and gain the “Frost Absorb” buff for every pool absorbed. For every pool absorbed (except the first), the boss will continuously create field-wide unblockable frost fields up to a maximum of eight times, with each hit after the first increasing Freeze stacks by 1, iframe all of them accordingly.

Some classes may not be able to iframe all 8 pools by themselves. In the event that there are 8 pools absorbed, certain classes can save the whole party:

Force Master: Use Frost Armor for the first 5 slams, and use Frost Sheath on the last 3 slams. Frost Sheath will prevent the boss’s Freeze debuff from stacking, allowing those frozen to thaw out before the boss does his slam.

Blade Master: Use Winged Protector on the last 3 slams, or on the powerful slam.

Assassin/Blade Dancer: Iframe all 8, and then use Protection Decoy/Maelstrom on the powerful slam.

Sogun’s Lament
By: Shadovv

Guidance Video by Praetor19

Guidance Video by AeonWcs

Sogun, who failed the Divine Mandate Ritual 30 years ago, is resurrected by a mysterious mastermind known as Zulia. Sogun’s anger and regret manifested into this flame and frost monster known as Asura.

Corridor:

At the beginning is a daily questgiver that asks to obtain 20 Guard Tags from the humanoid mobs in this corridor.

The beginning splits into the two paths: the northern (left) path containing Goldkin using flame Force Master attacks, and the southern (right) path containing Silverkin using frost Force Master attacks. Both paths contain various additional monsters, and the Gold/Silverkin are accompanied by miniature versions using Kung Fu Master attacks. The adds can be reset by running up the ramp and then gliding back down.

Each path is divided into four sections, with snowballs falling down the first three sections that will disappear when engaging the Gold/Silverkin. At the end of the first three sections, a lever can pulled after killing the Gold/Silverkin that will open the door on the other path. The final section simply requires killing the Gold/Silverkin at the end.

Ken & Gen:

Ken HP: 5,690,000

Gen HP: 3,030,000

Enrage: 7:00

CC: 2x

Both bosses are fought on opposite sides of the room. When the boss is started, the river in the middle will become active and kill anyone entering it, preventing players from moving between the sides. It is possible to maneuver across this river using iframe skills, but in most situations is not necessary.

Ken’s Attack Pattern:

Double 180 degree frontal hammer swings, blockable

Frontal roar inflicting knockback and daze, blockable

Double frontal hammer smash inflicting knockdown, blockable

One of the following:

AoE spin, blockable, cannot be CC’d.

Frontal hammer thrust, causes knockback and knockdown, blockable, cannot be CC’d.

Gen’s Attack Pattern:

Double 180 degree frontal hammer swings, blockable

Puts away his hammer then spins around and deflect stuns if hit into, followed by a palm smash that knocks back and dazes. The palm smash can be blocked.

Frontal palm flurry, each hit knocks backwards slightly, blockable

One of the following:

AoE spin, blockable, cannot be CC’d.

Frontal hammer thrust, causes knockback and knockdown, blockable, cannot be CC’d.

If their tanks stand 9 meters or further away, Ken/Gen will throw two jars at their aggro holder, leaving a puddle that inflicts a 50% movement speed debuff for one minute. They then jump on the aggro holder, creating an unblockable AoE where they land.

Deva Strength:

Every 30 seconds, Ken and Gen perform a long-ranged area of effect shout. It does no damage, but produces “Golden Deva Strength” and “Silver Deva Strength” buffs for one minute on everyone, both themselves and players, and is granted even on iframe. “Golden Deva Strength” grants 90 Attack Power, while “Silver Deva Strength” grants 10% Defense, both stacks up to 3 times. Additionally, it produces a one minute 50% movement speed reduction on players if not iframed.

After the shout, Ken and Gen will throw two jars at the furthest person from them (i.e. across the river). Ideally, a ranged class should hang around the wall so that they do not hinder melees. Afterwards the pair will resume normal attacking.

Four stacks of Golden/Silver Deva Strength turn into “Galvanized” and “Silver Deva” respectively. For Ken/Gen, this grants them both 90% damage reduction for one minute, but prevents them from stacking Strength buffs. For players, this turns into a one second unavoidable lockdown that then transition to a knockdown inflicting massive damage.

To prevent Galvanized/Silva Deva, the bosses must be knocked down when at 3 stacks of Deva Strength. They will do a get-up attack, then jump across the river, removing their Deva Strength buffs; the knockdown must not be interrupted with a grab, aerial, Blade Master’s Soaring Falcon Move 2, or Assassin’s Webbing or they will not jump. They will then Phantom Grip their tanks, removing their buffs as well, before attempting to smack and slam them into the ground which deals very high damage. The two bosses must be stunned or dazed so the tank does not die. The tank must not iframe the grab and the rest of the party must not knockdown or the boss will jump back over.

There are two strategies to defeat Ken/Gen:

Split the party evenly: The safest and slowest method, split the group evenly.

All on one: All party members stationed at Gen. Ken will jump over; burst the two down quickly, preferably with Gen going down first due to his Silver Deva Strength. This method is only for groups with high DPS, as it relies on bursting down both bosses before they gain the damage reduction buff.

Corridor:

Ahead is another daily questgiver asking to defeat the three Iruga’s Shadow gatekeepers ahead.

Drop down into the underground tunnel. There are three segments with Kung Fu Master, Force Master, and Shieldbearer mobs patrolling. An Assassin Move 3 Smokescreen, Lotus of Rescue, and Smokescreen again to stealth the party past the mobs.

At the end of each segment, six Shieldbearers spawn, and drop a shield on death, pick up that shield. The miniboss, Iruga’s Shadow, will spawn after the Shieldbearers are dead and throw four projectiles at random players, twelve projectiles in total. Press 1 while holding the shield to create a 3.0 second reflect window that damages the Shadow by 1/12th of its health.

Charged Iruga:

HP: 12,600,000

Enrage: 5:00

CC: 2x

Up to three 2x stun and/or 2x knockdown are required.

Despite Iruga’s unusually high health and low enrage timer, the mechanic will inflict a significant amount of damage to the boss.

Attack Pattern:

Drops lightning in front of it, blockable, cannot be CC’d, has a blindspot in front of Iruga

Double 180 degree claw swipes, blockable

Double 180 degree claw swipes, followed by an area of effect lightning causing knockdown, blockable

Double claw swipes

Throws two linear lightning channels in front of it, followed by a lightning breath in front of it, each hit causes knockback and daze, blockable

If the tank stands 9 meters or further away, Iruga randomly does one of the following:

Throws a lightning area of effect projectile inflicting stun. Blockable.

Jumps at the aggro holder, causing an unblockable AoE slam upon landing that knocks down.

Iruga’s Shadows:

Every 45 seconds, Iruga will enter a mechanic:

A message warns “Iruga’s Shadows have appeared” and three adds, the blue-colored Staggering Umbra and green-colored Falling Umbra, spawn in the corners of the room in a triangle formation from each other, with the type that spawns being random. Iruga will continue his normal rotation. The Umbras have the same attacks as Iruga and have unusually high health to kill normally, but the blue Umbra can be killed instantly with 2x stun and the green Umbra can be killed instantly with 2x knockdown.

Classes with an area of effect CC can group up the Umbras to take multiple down at once.

Mistakenly using the wrong CC will cause the Umbra to experience that CC, but will resume attacking and be vulnerable to CC again.

Once the Umbras are dead, a message warns “Snowborn Shieldbearers have appeared” and six Shieldbearers spawn in the middle. Kill them quickly and pick up their dropped shields.

Iruga jumps to a random corner after the Umbras are dead or 10 seconds after they have spawned, and channels a lightning puddle around himself.

Iruga fires four lightning projectiles in three sets at the first four people who hit him since engaging. Using the shield, press 1 to reflect Iruga’s lightning back to it and produce Spear of Judgement stacks on it.

Projectile-resistances such as Blade Master’s Warding Spirit, Force Master’s Divine Veil, Summoner’s Petal Storm, and Assassin’s Move 2 Smokescreen can negate the projectiles if the shields weren’t picked up in time.

Iruga’s lightning puddle disappears and he will begin to channel an unblockable AoE attack. The tank must press LMB to throw the shield at Iruga as he is channeling the attack. This will inflict knockdown for 5 seconds if he has any Spear of Judgement stacks, and detonate the stacks for 1.25% of its health per stack for 15% in total, along with extending the duration of the knockdown by 0.5 seconds per stack for a total of 12 seconds. Do not grab Iruga immediately; let the knockdown duration tick down before doing so.

Corridor:

A final daily quest ahead requires you to defeat the next four minibosses.

At the top of the stairs is Force Master Head Handmaiden Bing Sangsun, with a pair of Destroyer adds. At 70% she will cast Frost Burst and channel an ice pillar that inflicts Freeze nearby. After she drops down, she will become untargetable, and heads into the arena. She regains her health, and is now accompanied by two Gunner and Blade Master adds. On initiating any of the minibosses in the arena, a ring of Palace Cores spawn in the outer edges of the field and shoot projectiles at anyone within range.

Once Bing Sangsun is defeated, another miniboss appears, chosen at random:

Head Servant Bing Yusang: Force Master who spawns timed exploding ice flowers.

Misol: Banshee, accompanied by six Cursed Frost Banshees.

Copperkin: Force Master Training Dummy

After the second miniboss is defeated, a third one appears, again chosen at random:

Slavedriver Hwa Mayum: Force Master

Poacher Sang Gyuk: Dual Axe user

Oh Rutega: Blade Master Training Dummy, grants an achievement on defeat.

The fourth, final miniboss follows the third, once again chosen at random:

Necromancer Bing Muha: Force Master

Sculptor Hwa Yunhong: Force Master with eight Terracotta Warriors

Volcano & Glacier:

HP: 1,750,000 each

Enrage: None

CC: 2x

The easiest boss, with rather low health and no actual mechanic.

On initiating the fight, a ring of Palace Cores spawn in the outer edges of the field and shoot projectiles at anyone within range.

Attack Pattern:

Both birds share the same rotation with one difference:

Targeted peck, blockable

Targeted upward head swing which will knockup, blockable

Creates frontal 180 degree gusts, unblockable, each hit causes pushback.

After 90%, Volcano casts an unblockable AoE explosion around itself, and Glacier summons ice flowers that will explode after a small amount of time, cannot be blocked

If their tanks stand 9 meters or farther away, they charge at them, inflicting knockback and knockdown.

Flight:

At the start of the fight, one of the birds chosen by random will come down to fight, while the other stays flying and untargetable. The flying bird will mark the closest person to them, and fire area of effect feather projectiles: Volcano’s leaves a burning puddle, while Glacier’s inflicts Knockdown. Blade Master’s Warding Spirit, Force Master’s Divine Veil, Assassin’s Move 2 Smokescreen, and Summoner’s Petal Storm can be cast to negate the projectiles.

They will switch when the first bird reaches 90%, the second bird reaches 60%, and both come down when the first bird reaches 30%.

Asura:

HP: 11,210,000

Enrage: 8:20

CC: 2x

Attack Pattern:

Double 180 degree frontal sword swipes, inflicting one stack of ember and chill, blockable

One of the following:

Linear ice cleave inflicting freeze, blockable, cannot be CC’d.

Three-hit spin inflicting ember and chill, both are blockable.

Double frontal sword swipes

One of the following:

Flame energy wave, inflicting ember, knockback, and daze, cannot be CC’d.

Frontal 180 degree sweep with the frost sword, followed by a frontal flame cleave inflicting knockdown, and a double sword attack causing knockback and daze, all hits are blockable

One of the following:

Frontal linear frost kick, inflicts knockdown

Frontal 180 degree leg sweep, inflicts knockdown, unblockable

If the tank stands 9 meters or further, Asura teleports behind them and stabs them with his frost sword, inflicting Chill.

Lifeblooms:

Every 30 seconds, a message warns “Lifeblooms are appearing near Asura” and six flowers will appear on the floor. Asura will teleport to a random corner and perform a summoning animation, then does a field-wide unblockable Phantom Grip and absorbs any Lifeblooms on the ground and heal 5% of his health per lifebloom and gain a permanent stack of “Living Flower”; if he has 5 stacks Asura will enrage and wipe the party.

Running into the Lifebloom will remove them, heal around 10,000 HP, grants the Focus Recovery buff for 10 seconds, and grant immunity to Asura’s Phantom Grip, but inflicts a 7 second root debuff and a 30 second Thorn Poison damage over time debuff that deals 4,500 damage per 2 seconds. The poison can only be removed with Dungeon Antidotes; class skills such as Force Master’s Frost Armor will not cleanse it. Iframes will temporarily stop the damage.

The root can be removed with root removal skills, or approach skills if Asura is able to be targeted. Moving into a Lifebloom with an iframe or having Blade Master’s Winged Protector and Blade Dancer’s Maelstrom will negate the roots.

Special Phase 90%:

Asura will teleport to the middle, summoning 4 flaming swords levitating behind him.

Asura casts a flaming aura around him, which negates projectiles and does very high damage over time on anyone who stands in it. Everyone should stop attacking and group up, Summoners and Warlocks should immediately recall their familiars.

Asura will fire eight flaming projectiles at random people. Blade Master’s Warding Spirit, Force Master’s Divine Veil, Assassin’s Move 2 Smokescreen, and Summoner’s Petal Storm can be cast to negate the damage.

A message warns “Asura is creating a Flamefrost using his chi” and Asura creates two Flamefrost Orbs that move towards the furthest person from them, and will bounce around the room if they hit the wall. They can be dispelled by block, counter, parry, or deflect skills, which also pulsates the buff “Scorching Heat and Freezing Cold” in a 3 meter area of effect granting 40 Attack Power for 60 seconds and stacks 20 times. One person, ideally a ranged class, should be standing close to the flaming aura and block at least one of the orbs, for the next mechanic. If the orbs are ignored and six are present at one time, Asura will enrage and wipe the party.

The flaming aura around Asura will disappear. He will then mark the closest person to him, and drop four flaming swords on them one at a time, leaving a flaming aura. The marker should lead the swords away so that they do not land next to Asura.

Beware that Summoner and Warlock familiars can receive the mark.

Force Master’s Freeze, Summoner’s Grasping Roots, and Warlock’s Soul Shackle can be cast at the end; if the tank stands behind him, Asura won’t do anything until the root wears off.

Asura casts a field-wide unblockable Phantom Grip, then does a frontal flaming leg sweep inflicting knockdown and is unblockable.

Root can also be cast here to delay Asura.

Special Phase 70%:

Asura teleports to the middle, summoning 6 frost swords levitating behind him.

Asura drops six of his frost swords at random locations three times, producing unblockable area of effect impacts that dazes anyone hit.

Asura casts a frost aura around him, similar to the flaming aura from before. Everyone should stop attacking and group up.

Asura creates a pair of flamefrost orbs.

Asura fires eight frost projectiles at random people. These can be avoided in the same manner as the fire projectiles.

The frost puddle around Asura disappears. He then casts a field-wide unblockable Phantom Grip, then does a frontal frost linear kick inflicting knockback and knockdown and is unblockable.

Special Phase 50%:

At 50%, Asura will automatically cleanse all debuffs and is immune to debuffs for 5 seconds. He will teleport to the middle, and will periodically cycle between his 90% flame and 70% frost attacks for the remainder of the fight. In addition, Lifeblooms spawn one-by-one during the mechanic, which does not negate his Phantom Grip, and he will absorb the Lifeblooms at the end of the mechanic.
