Sandstorm Temple

Rukesh was once a monk of the Ajanara Monastery with endless potential, but soon acquired a thirst for the dark arts and transcended beyond his mortal limits. Ashamed of this travesty, the monks sealed the evil Rukesh and his fanatic followers within the Sandstorm Temple, but over time the seal has waned…
Onubek:
HP: 150,400,000 (Normal) / 470,000,000 (Hard)
Enrage: 9:00
CC Bars: 2x
Attack Pattern:
- 180 degree frontal quadruple swipes, blockable, 2nd and 4th hits inflict Daze.
- Linear sand breath, unblockable.
- 180 degree frontal double swipes, blockable, 2nd hit inflicts Daze.
- Slams the ground, creating an AoE under him which slowly expands outward into rings two times, all unblockable, all inflicting aerial. Getting hit by this even if iframed inflicts the “Singe” debuff for 60 seconds dealing 1,666 damage per two seconds and stacks up to 10 times.
- Punches forward, then behind it, then forward again, all linear, unblockable, and causes knockback.
If the tank is too far, the boss will dash grab them, then slam them into the ground and stomp, both creating unblockable AoEs. The grab cannot be iframed.
Sand Trap (80%/30% Normal | 90%/60%/30% Hard):
The boss jumps to the center of the room, creating an unblockable AoE slam with knockback, and then releases an expanding shockwave with knockback and can be jumped over. He then pounds the ground eight times, each creating six unblockable AoE eruptions at random spots that inflicts aerial and Singe.
After the ground pounds, a message warns “Onubek tries to catch someone in a Sand Trap” and he will fire a beam at the farthest person, this chains up to two other nearby players and applies “Annihilation” up to three times; getting two stacks of Annihilation is instant death, so everyone should huddle under the boss to share this. The boss will then do a 5-hit field-wide AoE stomp that can be interrupted with 2x CC, otherwise it deals massive damage in Normal or instantly killing in Hard. Afterwards, the boss then does a 2-hit field-wide AoE that applies “Engrave”, the boss will gain the “Hourglass” buff, all players without Annihilation receive “Immobile” and become immobilized but are immune to damage for 25 seconds and on expiration deals massive damage in Normal or instantly killing in Hard, and all players with Annihilation gets converted to “Aftereffect” that lasts for 50 seconds; in subsequent phases if you receive Annihilation while under the effects of Aftereffect you will instantly die (although this is technically impossible to occur).
The boss will then create a either a central AoE and outer ring or a middle ring in a random order, then a field-wide AoE, all unblockable and the rings applies Singe even if iframed to players without Sand Trap. He will do this three times in total, and is CCable on all of these attacks. The boss’s Hourglass buff will disappear during one of these attacks, as soon as this happens players need to apply 2x Knockdown, if you take too long he will regain Hourglass. On successful knockdown without Hourglass, he will then do a get-up attack that removes Immobile and converts everyone’s Engrave into “Self-Defense Chi” for 35 seconds; CCing with Hourglass will cause nothing to happen. After the three attacks, the boss conjures an energy sphere and does a 5-hit ground pound; without Self-Defense Chi it does massive but iframable damage in Normal or wipes the party in Hard. After the fifth pound, he will be damaged by 5% of his max HP and become exhausted for a few seconds.
Destroy All Targets (55% Normal | Post-30% Hard):
The boss jumps to the center of the room, creating an unblockable AoE, and then releases an expanding shockwave. A message warns “Onubek aims to destroy all targets” and the boss performs a field-wide unblockable/uniframable vacuum and then one of two attacks:
- Slams the ground four times, creating three rings around him and then an outer ring, all inflict aerial.
- Releases four field-wide AoE slams, the final hit does massive but iframable damage in Normal or wipes the party in Hard. Can be interrupted with 2x CC, if the party consists of at least four people who aren’t Assassins, Summoners, and Warlocks you can respond to the vacuum with Second Wind Daze, otherwise Retreat (F Roll).
After these attacks, he will then throw linear unblockable energy waves that leave a damaging field at the two farthest people.
After this, the boss will return to his normal patterns in Normal, or perform the Sand Trap mechanic in Hard.
If the boss is pushed into the HP threshold for Sand Trap, he will completely skip over the Destroy All Targets mechanic.
Rukesh:
HP: 197,440,000 (Normal) / 617,000,000 (Hard)
Enrage: 7:00
CC Bars: 2x
Attack Pattern:
- 180 degree frontal double swipes, blockable.
- Double linear ground pound into a 240 degree side swipe inflicting knockback, all blockable, the swipe causes knockback and knockdown. The direction of the sweep is based on the arm used in the second ground pound; for example if he uses his right arm he will swipe to the left. The blindspot of the swipe is located at the front side of the boss near the second ground pound arm.
- 180 degree frontal double swipes.
- 300 degree frontal swipe with a blindspot directly behind him, then a linear front and rear push that knockback, all unblockable, all detonate Blood Serpent; Assassin’s/Summoner’s Protection Decoy/Enhanced Seed Shroud can protect against both hits.
- Creates a sand fissure in an outer and then inner ring, both unblockable and inflicts aerial. Getting hit by this even if iframed inflicts the “Blood Serpent” debuff for 30 seconds, dealing 760 damage per second and detonating for significant damage when hit by certain AoE attacks and stacks up to 10 times.
- Linear uppercut, blockable, inflicts aerial.
If the tank is too far, the boss will perform a 4-hit field-wide unblockable ground pounds, the last hit causes pushback and daze, and all hits detonate Blood Serpent.
Mystic Force (80%/30% Normal | 90%/60%/30% Hard):
A message warns “Rukesh creates a Glyph to unlock Mystic Force” and the boss performs a 3-hit field-wide unblockable AoE bursts. The boss then gains the “Unlock Mystic Power” buff as glyphs on the ground illuminate a number of circles:
- 80% Normal / 90% Hard: 2
- 30% Normal / 60% Hard: 4
- 30% Hard: 6
The boss then does his 300 degree frontal swipe and linear front and rear push, and the outer-inner fissures. A message warns “Rukesh searches for a target to Judge” and marks the two farthest people, then performs a 4-hit field-wide unblockable AoE ground pounds with the last hit causing pushback and daze and all hits detonating Blood Serpent, Force Master’s/Destroyer’s Frost Sheath/Iron Plating can reliably iframe this. He will then grab the farthest marker from the start of the marking, immobilize them, and attempts to release a field-wide AoE that that must be interrupted with 2x CC else it does massive damage in Normal or wipes the party in Hard.
Once CC’d, the grabbed marker will receive the “Obsidian Serpent” buff for 1 minute. Receiving Blood Serpent will remove Obsidian Serpent. The boss will then create 10 eruptions, each creating six unblockable AoEs that aerial. Afterwards, a message warns “Rukesh unleashes his Wrath” and he shoots an AoE pulse at the other marked person applying Blood Serpent before attempting to release a field-wide AoE that does massive damage in Normal or wipes the party in Hard. Both markers must now quickly step on different glyph circles; the marker with Obsidian Serpent will create a gray dice and transfer the buff to the boss for 3 seconds, while the marker with Blood Serpent creates a red sphere that travels to the boss for 3 seconds. Once the boss has both Obsidian and Blood Serpents, a message warns “Rukesh is weakened from enacting the Blood Sacrifice” and his attack becomes interrupted, he becomes stunned for 5 seconds, and is damaged by 5% of his max HP. After all circles disappear the boss will also lose his Unlock Mystic Power and resume normal attacks.
In phases with more than 2 circles, the boss will repeat the entire mechanic with a few differences:
- The boss does not repeat the 3-hit ground pounds from the start.
- Before marking, the boss releases a shockwave that causes knockback and Blood Serpent even if iframed and can be jumped over.
- Before the 10 eruptions, the boss does a linear punch that stuns and then linear pull, both unblockable, aimed toward the farthest person, and will do this twice. He will then perform a large unblockable AoE ground pound that aerials and inflicts Blood Serpent even if iframed.
- At 30% Hard, the boss will mark the 4 farthest people.
Allseing Gaze (50% Normal | 70%/40% Hard):
A message warns “Rukesh judges with his Allseing Gaze” and the boss creates a dark field in an outer ring around the edges of the field that deals damage and detonates Blood Serpent. The boss will then target each player from farthest to closest with either a pillar that releases a shockwave that causes knockback and Blood Serpent even if iframed and can be jumped over, or a large exploding AoE that causes any nearby pillars to explode. Pillars overlapping with each other or have landed in the dark field will also cause them to explode. An exploding pillar deals massive but iframable damage in Normal or wipes the party in Hard.
Once all players have been attacked, the boss releases a shockwave, also causing each pillar to release their own shockwave. The dark field and pillars will then vanish.
