Introduction:
o12s will be your last challenge in the 4.4 raid tier. If you made it through o11s, I am almost certain you can make it through o12s as well! The fight honestly looks more difficult than it is, and if every party member plays their part correctly this won’t be too much trouble.
The fight is split in the Adam and Eve fight, followed by the Final Omega encounter.
Phase 1 (Adam and Eve):
At the beginning of the fight you will face Omega-M with the eye in the north of the platform. Throughout the encounter the eye will be used to indicate a number of mechanics, so keep an *eye* (pun intended) on where it is.
First off, Omega-M will cast Synthetic Shield, which equips it with a shield equipping him with a shield and indicates an upcoming Beyond Defense. Next up, Omega will cast Suppression, which causes the eye to hit the platform with a large linear AoE after a couple of seconds.
Now for the first real mechanic of this fight: Omega-M will use Beyond Defense which will make it dash towards a random player, damaging and applying Magic Vulnerability Up to all players close to the target. At the same time the line Aoe from
This is almost immediately followed by Pile Pitch, a small AoE skill, dealing heavy magic damage that needs to be shared in a small area around the target. This skill is an instant cast and targets another random player.
We place Omega-M on the east side of the platform and turn him to the NE because that will save a little bit of space when spreading the melees around him. The ranged dps / healers stay a little further north/south of the boss.
When Beyond Defense lands, all players but the one that got hit will stack up at the bosses rear for Pile Pitch. If all other 7 people stacked this should deal about 30k damage. 45k if only 6. Shield up and mitigate if you think it necessary. Suppression goes off at about the same time as Beyond Defense.
Next up, the eye will move and Omega-M will cast Subject Simulation-F, transforming him into his female counterpart, Omega-F. Upon taking shape, after a short delay, Omega-F will hit the party with Discharger, damaging all players and knocking them away from her ⅝ the distance of the platform. Skills like Surecast nullify this knockback, but for some reason Cover does not seem to work.
Pull Omega-F to the side opposite of the eye and make her look outwards. She will first cast Synthetic Blades, turning her legs into blades and indicating an upcoming Superliminal Motion. This is followed up by Advanced Suppression, ordering the eye to execute a huge AoE on the side close to it after a delay. The AoE reaches the center of the platform, but it is slightly curved, so that the cardinal waypoints to the left and right of the eye are still safe.
Shortly after, she will use Superliminal Motion, an AoE with a 340° angle, leaving only a small cone of a safe zone at her rear. Getting hit by this will heavily damage the player and apply a Damage Down, Vulnerability Up and Healing Received Down debuff. At the same time the Advanced Suppression goes off. Since the boss is on the opposite side facing out you should not have any trouble avoiding both of those zones. The eye will move.
Right after this Omega-F will use Optimized Fire III, hitting every player with a small AoE that deals high damage. Getting hit by two is lethal. Spread the tanks and melees in max melee range around the bosses front/flanks/rear, with the directional assignment you also used for Pile Pitch. The healers and casters move a little closer to the eye and spread out in the distance.
Omega-F will use Subject Simulation-M, this time splitting into two entities that need to be fought separately. For this, both healers will get marked with a stack marker, that deals heavy physical damage and applies Physical Vulnerability Down. Getting hit by both will definitely kill you.
We split the party in two groups with a tank, a healer and two dps in each. One group stays where Omega-F liquified, the other group goes to the next cardinal marker in clockwise direction. The tanks will need to pay close attention to where the eye is, as one of them will have to move their boss to an adjacent cardinal marker soon.
After the stack markers there will be a need for healing. Before becoming attackable, Omega-F will cast Discharger and Omega-M Efficient Bladeworks, an AoE around him. stand away from Omega-M, and if you cannot nullify the knockback get close to Omega-F and let her knock you around the platform.
First, both bosses will cast Firewall, granting the party Packet Filter: F/M, preventing players with Packet Filter: F from damaging Omega-F, and Packet Filter-M from damaging Omega-M. How exactly firewall assigns the debuffs is a mystery to us at the moment. However if you place the two groups close to the boss that spawned from their assigned stack marker, they will be able to damage this boss. (Some kind of proximity-shenanigans? Does M or F have priority? Help appreciated!)
Take under consideration which players you are grouping up together. For example always group the DRG and BRD/MCH together on the same add.
Shorty after both bosses will cast Resonance, which gives them either the Local Resonance or Remote Resonance buff. Local grants both bosses massive offensive and defensive buffs when the two are close together, Remote when they are afar. Depending on the buff they get, the tank that is at the cardinal marker with the eye (or the opposite side) will have to move his boss either to the offtank or to the opposite side of him.
Next, both bosses will use Fundamental Synergy and shortly after Advanced Suppression, marking each player with a marker for the boss they can attack. You will have a number of one to to four symbols over your head. Each boss will dash with Electric Slide towards their respective markers in ascending order, dealing damage based on distance travelled to every player they hit. The further they dash, the less damage they deal.
We move the odd numbers to the opposite side. The people with red markers stand slightly next to the cardinal marker, in the direction of where the eye is, those with blue markers a bit further away from the marker in the direction of where the eye is not.. The higher number waits behind the lower number for the dash, and after the boss dashed away again they change to have the higher number in front.
About the time of the first dash the Advanced Suppression hits the platform.
Move bosses to the side according to their buff. Odd markers on the opposite side.Lower numbers on the inside.(Advanced Suppression here hits more south of the markers than it actually will for clarity’s sake) First Charge, 3 and 1 change. Second Charge, 2 and 4 change. Third and last charge. |
Note for the healers: healing in this phase can be hard because the two groups of people are too far away from the middle to all be healed with AoE heals.
Following the charges, both bosses will cast Laser Shower hitting the party with heavy raid wide damage. The eye will move. Following this is Solar Ray, a magic tank buster that deals approximately 100k unmitigated damage.
Next up, during a couple of auto attacks, one of the bosses will cast their stance mechanic. If Omega-M uses Synthetic Shield, the bosses will execute the Shield Pattern next. If Omega-F uses Synthetic Blades they will execute the Blades Pattern. For both, after the tank busters, we pull Omega-F into the middle, and Omega-M somewhat south-west from her. Make sure that Omega-F looks north, this will be important for the upcoming mechanics.
Shield Pattern:
The Shield Pattern works as follows:
First, Omega-F will jump in the middle and hit the platform in cardinal directions with Optimized Blizzard III. at the same time, a random player will get hit with Beyond Defense. Shortly after, Omega-M will hit different random player with Pile Pitch which needs to be shared. After that, Omega-F hits every player with an Optimized Fire III, forcing everyone to spread. Omega-M will jump to another random player and cast Superliminal Steel, rendering the entire platform except for the area underneath him unsafe. Following this he will instantly cast Efficient Bladeworks, so go in and out right after. During this last part Omega-F will hit the entire party with one Laser Shower.
That sounds a lot but the movement to avoid this is quite easy. Assign positions around the Optimized Blizzard III which we will also use as orientation as where to spread after the stack. We run to the middle, and after Pile Pitch right out again. But one healer, in our case the WHM, gets to stay in the middle and heals the party back up as best he can. Keep an eye out for Omega-M, run towards him and immediately out after the name needed hits.
Between the blizzard, pile pitch and fire, the party takes heavy damage on all of these skills, so healers be prepared, and help them out as good as you can by mitigating and boosting them. Mantra, Addles, Shake it off, Divine Veil, and all those will be very much appreciated!
Blade Pattern:
The Blades Pattern works as follows:
First, Omega-F is going to cast name needed, which hits the area to her left and right with a big AoE. This leaves a safe line to stand on in her front and back. Next Omega-F will use Optimized Blizzard III as an instant cast without indication, but it covers less area than in the Blades Pattern. At the same time, a cast will indicate a Pile Pitch from Omega-M, which can be soaked by the whole party since he did not use Beyond Defense before. Then, Omega-F will use Superliminal Motion, and after that Omega-M will dash to a random player and cast Efficient Bladeworks. Right after this, Optimized Fire III will hit each player with an AoE.
This Pattern is easier than the Shield Pattern, and we handle it like this: The tank on Omega-F keeps her facing “North”, so that the line will go through the platform. After this, we dodge away and to the side where Omega-M is to avoid the blizzard and stack for Pile Pitch. Move into the safe zone of Superliminal Motion, which will be pointing south because we made Omega-F face north. Stay close together behind Omega-F and bait the Efficient Bladeworks, then spread out towards the assigned positions.
After the Shield / Blade Pattern, both bosses will cast Laser Shower. Then they will cast another Firewall, this time changing the Package Filter debuff on each player to the other variant. Just after the cast the tanks will need to grab aggro on the boss they were not tanking, keep that in mind.
Next up they will cast Resonance again, applying the other variant of the buff from the first time. Hence, if they had Local Resonance before they will now have Remote Resonance and vice versa. Position the bosses accordingly relative to where the eye is located at this point. We found it the simplest to have the same groups of players stay on the side of the marker that is close to the eye as before, no matter where they end up. But as long as the sides chosen side of the platform
Another Fundamental Synergy, marking people for Electric Slides. Proceed as usual. It also seems that, if you got an odd number marker before, you’ll get an even one The eye will move during this.
After these dashes, another double Laser Shower, another double Solar Ray, and next the bosses will execute the Shield / Blades Pattern they didn’t execute the first time. For this pull them back next to each other.
Once you have executed the other pattern, pull both bosses to an adjacent cardinal marker next to where the eye is. (We chose the one that is rotated clockwise from where the eye is.)
Both bosses will cast Suppression. Afterwards Omega-M will target one tank with Optimized Sagittarius Arrow, basically the ranged DPS limit break, a huge line AoE, while Omega-F targets the other tank with Optimized Meteor, which deals proximity damage to all players.
Intended: The tank with the proximity marker makes his way to the opposite side of the arena to reduce meteor damage. This hurts a lot on the tank, so mitigate it properly. The other tank makes Omega-M shoot the arrow towards the eye, while the rest of the party stands behind him. At the same time as the limit breaks go out, the Suppression will render everything but the sides of the platform unsafe.
Next they will both cast Cosmo Memory, dealing heavy raid wide damage. The eye moves during this. Definitely shield and mitigate this. This is followed by a double Laser Shower. This is followed by Optimized Blade Dance, a melee limit break, which each boss will cast on their respective tank. This hits fairly hard compared to Solar Flare, mitigate or invuln this as possible. A good way to do this is to have one tank provoke the add of the other tank and use an invulnerability on both of them.
Once again, pull both bosses to the cardinal marker adjacent to the eye. They will cast Advanced Suppression this time and execute the same Optimized Meteor / Sagittarius Arrow mechanic once again, but with the Advanced Suppression. Handle it just like the first one, with the meteor marker going to the opposite side, while the arrow tank turns him towards the eye.
Another double Cosmal Memory, another double Laser Shower and another double Optimized Blade Dance. If you managed to get both bosses to 1HP by this point, the fight will transition into its next phase.
Once you “killed” the first boss, its HP will remain at 1 and it will still execute mechanics normally. However you will lose all Packet Filter debuffs, enabling the whole party to attack the remaining enemy.
Cheese:At the moment it is possible to completely ignore these last two series of mechanics by using the tank lb 3 on the meteor and arrow, and just soaking up this damage as a stacked party. It will restore about two and a half limit break bars and the next LB3 will be available for the next meteor/arrow combo. Tank lb this one as well, and use the melee limit break as soon as it comes up again.
This is probably not how the mechanic is supposed to be handled. But it works. And it’s broken. In case it gets patched out this note will be removed. 🙂
Phase 2 (Final Omega): pictures incoming
The first step to victory has been done! Now you will be facing Final Omega. Remember not to jump off of the platform before the limit gauge resets, else you will have to start the fight all over.
The fight starts off with Target Analysis, a tank mechanic that targets the player with the highest or second highest enmity with a blue marker. Shortly after this player will be hit by a circular AoE tank buster which afflicts him with Magic Vulnerability Up. Following that up, he will be hit by name needed, a linear magic AoE tank buster, that deals less damage to the later targets hit.
The offtank will have to provoke Omega at about the fourth global cooldown. Then shirk the main tank back (or keep the enmity so the main tank will get the blue marker. After the first AoE hits, the other tank moves in front of the marked one. Alternatively, you might want to use invulnerability on Target Analysis whenever they are up, let one tank absorb the Magic Vulnerability and just soak up the following tank buster.
Next up is Patch. This mechanic will tether four pairs of players together, a DPS and a tank/healer in each, with Remote / Local Regression (25s). If two players tethered by
Local Regression come too close, they will get hit by small AoE’s, damaging the raid to them for about 20k of damage and applying a stacking Magic Vulnerability Up (3s). The same thing happens with Remote Regression should the players be too far from each other, or should the debuff timer of either debuffs run out.
During the duration of theses debuffs, the boss will first cast Diffuse Wave Canon, then Oversampled Wave Canon. The first is a conal AoE that will cleave the either the front and rear of the boss, or his two flanks. You can determine which one of these it will be by looking at his cast animation. The sides with the blue floating orbs will be the safe sides.
The latter will target the two closest players on the side of the boss that has the blue screens during the cast animation and hit both of them with a magic AoE tank buster.
We handle this as follows:
After Patch finishes its cast, all players but the healer with Local Regression stack south of the boss. Said healer will go to the north side as not to detonate his green tether. In the process of this the tether of the tank and DPS with Local Regression will explode, damaging the party. The damage will need to be healed back up before the next set of tethers is exploded.
Next up is Diffuse Wave Canon. In case his front and rear are not safe, everyone rotates 90° around the boss in a clockwise manner. As soon as the Diffuse Wave Canon has gone off, the tanks move back to the opposite side of the boss. This will detonate the second tank tethers, the ones with Remote Regression.
Next the boss will start casting Oversampled Wave Canon. In case the party is on the side of the boss with the screens, everyone changes sides. Important to note here: If you as a DPS still have a green Local Regression tether at this point, you have to pay attention not to detonate it too soon, as not to stack Magic Vulnerability Up or kill the tanks, which are receiving a magic tank buster after Omegas cast finished. Since the healer and his DPS need to be on the same side of the boss for Oversampled Wave Canon, we moved the healer a little to the north, the dps to the south. If for example the side east of the boss is safe, the healer would stand on NE, the tethered DPS on SE. For the two tank busters we have the main tank stay on the front (NE/NW when boss is true north), and the off tank stay in the back (SE/SW) of the boss as not to overlap them.
After the Oversampled Wave Canon hit the tanks and the Magic Vulnerability Up has worn off, first the DPS with Local Regression left detonates his tether by going to the healer. After the debuff wore off again, the last tethered DPS detonates his Remote Regression.
Shortly after the boss will cast Ion Efflux, dealing HEAVY raid wide damage. Shield and mitigate this as necessary. Omega will proceed by jumping into the center, facing south, and using the first Hello, World.
!Hello, World 1:
The Hello, World’s (short HW) are the most difficult mechanics in this fight. However, if everyone pays attention to what their debuffs and focuses on doing their part correctly, they aren’t too difficult after all. Except for the healers. Healers will have to pay close attention to who is getting certain debuffs, and heal a lot of incoming damage on a spread party. In other words – you won’t have a good time as a healer.
Hello, World will inflict a couple of different debuffs on the party at random:
Critical Overflow Bug (COB):
- If a player has this debuff, after it’s duration a huge AoE (a little less than half the radius of the platform) will deal massive damage to anyone hit by it. In Addition, any one hit by it will be afflicted by the COB themselves.
After the duration ran out the player will gain Overflow Debugger.
Overflow Debugger (OD):
- Prevents the afflicted player from gaining COB.
Latent Data:
- The player will die after the duration ends, unless they are dealt damage.
Critical Synchronization Bug (CSB):
- Upon the timer of this debuff running out, the player will be hit with a sizable shared AoE. Tanks can take this damage alone with a cooldown, but everyone else needs to be in groups of at least two players.
- Anyone hit by the AoE will be inflicted with CSB themselves.
- Upon running out the player receives Synchronization Debugger.
Synchronization Debugger:
- Prevents the afflicted player from gaining any CSB bugs.
About 30 seconds after the Hello, World cast finishes, the boss will also cast Critical Error, inflicting everyone without Overflow Debugger with COB.
(Credit to “Alkaid Kuramoto <Content Respectors>” for coming up with most of this strategy) (pictures incoming later)
(This strategy is designed to be safe. If you want to do log runs with this Tank2 should keep the aggro on the boss to enable more dps uptime. Alternatively, Unreal Uptime and the original CR strat are better for uptime.)
You will want to coordinately have people get afflicted by COB, so that you don’t have more than three COBs after the end of Critical Error.
At the beginning the debuffs are distributed as follows:
- Tank1 will have COB
- Tank2 will have Latent Data
- Healer1 will have Latent Data
- Healer2 will not have any debuffs
- DPS1 will have CSB with a duration of 8s, DPS2 with a duration of 12s
- DPS3 will have Latent Data
- DPS4 will not have any debuffs
Like said, every player (apart from the healers) will only need to pay attention to their debuffs:
- Tank1 will take the aggro (if he doesn’t have it already) and go into the north of the platform, and after the COB has gone off he will make his way to the south and avoid the people stacking for CSB.
- Tank2 will stack with DPS1 in the SW of the boss for CSB, and take his own CSB alone (with a cooldown, if he has aggro) afterwards.
- Healer1 will stand slightly NE of the center to get hit by Tank1’s COB. Then he will move to the NE edge of the platform until his COB detonates and regroup south with the party.
- Healer2 will stand slightly east of the center, away from any AoE’s until Tank1’s COB detonated. He then rescues Tank1 back to the group safely and moves slightly NE of the center to get hit by Healer1’s COB and then goes to the NE edge to detonate his own COB. After he rejoins the party in the south.
- DPS1 will group with Tank2 slightly west of the southern cardinal marker for his CSB. After the stack he will move east of the southern cardinal marker to stack with DPS2’s CSB. He will need some kind of healing in between.
- DPS2 goes east of the southern cardinal marker and wait there for DPS1 to share the CSB with him. Then just wait until Critical Error.
- DPS3 will stand slightly NW of the center to get hit by Tank1’s COB. Then he will move to the NW edge of the platform until his COB detonates and regroup south with the party.
- DPS4 will stand in the center, away from any AoE’s until Tank1’s COB detonated. He the moves slightly NW of the center to get hit by DPS3’s COB and then goes to the NW edge to detonate his own COB. After that he rejoins the party in the south.
After Critical Error, DPS1, Tank2 and DPS2 will go to the west, north and east cardinal markers respectively for their COB. After that everyone groups up in the south to heal and mitigate the incoming Ion Efflux.

Following up, Omega will cast Archive Peripheral. This will spawn three hands on the sides of the arena, shooting a series of line AoE lasers through the arena. The hands will have an indication whether they will rotate clockwise or counterclockwise.
There will always be a safe spot next in between two of the AoE indicators that will show up. If all hands rotate clockwise, it will be left of the hand that’s in NW. If counterclockwise it will be right of the one in NE. If the left one(s) is(are) rotating clockwise and the others counter, it will be in between the two adjacent hands that have opposite rotations, and if left goes counter and right clockwise it will be on the opposite side of the platform.
During this, the player with 2nd highest aggro will get marked with Target Analysis. This is followed by another Diffuse Wave Canon and Oversampled Wave Canon.
Next up the boss will teleport into the middle and cast Index and Archive Peripheral. This will spawn three hands on the sides of the platform which tether to players at random. After a while these hands will shoot a laser at their target, dealing more damage the closer it is.
At the same time, Omega will hit the three players with Wave Canon, another line AoE from his center. (Presumably the three closest players, need to verify that.)
The three tethered players will stretch out their tether by running to the opposite side of the platform. Everyone else spreads in between the tethers, so that they don’t get hit by the tether lasers or the lasers on random players. Try not to have two players in between the small spaces between tethers.
After a couple of auto attacks (good time to use feint) there will be another Patch + Diffuse Wave Canon + Oversampled Wave Canon + Ion Efflux combo, handle it just like the one at the beginning of the fight.
Following that Omega will cast Archive All. This will spawn six hands around the platform that will detonate for huge AoE damage after their Colossal Blow cast finishes. An apparatus will shoot rotating sets of Electric Slides through the center of the arena, and the boss will jump to one end of the arena. After that he will cast Delta Attack, which spawns AoE indicators under random players, marks four random players with AoE’s around them and one player with a stack marker.
First, look where Omega is facing before he jumps. you’ll need to run to the end of the wave canon that is opposite of his destination. While running there, determine which direction the Electric Slides will be turning, and make your way to the fist next to the wave canon’s indicator it is not turning to. (For example, if wave cannons turn clockwise, go on the counterclockwise side of the indicator.) Stand on the outer edge of the platform while paying attention not to fall off, then wait for the AoE indicators from Delta Attack. Spread the party outwards to avoid the AoE’s, the players with the red AoE markers stay outside and spread not to overlap them, the rest of the party moves back in for the stack marker. All the while you need to attack the hand, and after it died stack where it was to avoid the explosions from the other hands.
[Insert GIF here]
One more Diffuse Wave Canon and you will arrive at the second Hello, World.
Hello, World 2:
The second Hello, World will be handled very similarly to the first one. The debuffs from the first Hello, World are applied again, but in addition to that there is another debuff that needs to be handled accordingly:
Critical Underflow Bug (also referred to as “rot”) :
- After the duration of the debuff runs out an AoE will kill all players hit (except the source). They will also gain Underflow Debugger.
- Any player that comes into contact with a player afflicted by rot will also gain the rot debuff.
Underflow Debugger:
- Players with this buff can not receive the rot debuff.
Cascading Latent Data:
- The afflicted player will die unless they resolve a Critical Underflow Bug before the timer runs out.
The only significant difference to the first Hello, World is, that at the Critical Error cast, there will be three towers in the west, center and east of the platform that inflict Cascading Latent Data and need to be taken by players with Critical Underflow Bug.
The first player to be marked with the rot will be the Healer2 that had no debuff. When he rescues Tank1, he will pass the rot onto him. (Keep in mind, rescue transports the target in front of you, not onto you, so if you rescue the tank and walk away from him immediately the Rot does not pass on. As the healer, walking forwards like two steps ensures the pass) His own rot will detonate at about the same time as the COB from Healer1, for which he is far away from anyone else.
Tank1 will then proceed to go south, close to where Tank2, DPS1 and DPS2 are. After Tank2 took the third detonation of CSB all four of them stack, passing on the rot. Tank1 then proceeds to the southern cardinal marker and stays there. His rot will resolve at about the same time as the damage from Critical Error hits. Tank2, DPS1 and DPS2 stay inside the bosses hitbox until the meteors appear, while everyone else makes sure not to touch any of those four players by standing either east or west of the boss.
Then DPS1, Tank2 and DPS2 take care of their respective tower on their way to the west, north and east end of the platform, where their COB will resolve.
One more Ion Efflux and you’re done with Hello, World number two.

The GIF has the tank staying inside the boss instead of at the southern cardinal. I forgot to save the project. But having the tank stand on C is a little safer – if all others stay away from C.
After this, Omega will repeat the same mechanics he displayed after the first Hello, World up until after Archive All. He will then cast Program Omega, his soft enrage.
Omega will then proceed to cast Ion Efflux four times in a row, gaining Damage Dealt Increased stacks after each cast. The casts will still need to be mitigated and healed properly, but make sure to use more mitigation on the later casts.
After the fourth, Omega will hard cast a fifth Ion Efflux, which is his hard enrage and wipes the entire party.
Finally:
That’s it, that’s the entire encounter. Practise it, be certain of what you’re doing and you will clear this raid in no time!
