Followers are a significant portion of the immersion within Skyrim; whether you are looking for more mods for your list or want the best ones out there, there are more than 1000 followers made by various mod designers.

In this article, I’ll be listing the best mod followers you give you a questline and thousands of dialogues to keep you entertained and deeply immersed with the followers’ personalities.

Bruce Hammer By TeamBrhuce

This follower is an excellent male companion that comes with 5 quests and extra features.

Bruce is a mighty companion, but luckily the player can configure how powerful Bruce is, depending on your preference. One of the features that make this companion so unique is that Bruce will ride a custom dwemer mount to accompany you while you’re riding your steed.

With Bruce Hammer around, he gives you dialogue opinions on the location that you are in. He is a hilarious and truthful character to be around with.
To find Bruce, you need to head to the water pump station in Blackreach.
Bruce gives a quest option after you combat 30 fights with him by your side.

Mirai

This follower can be found in Markarth; Mirai lived in High Rock before moving to Markarth.

Mirai comes with a sizeable exciting quest with more than 100 dialogue lines of excellent voice acting. Unlike Bruce, there are various quests that the player must do to gain her trust and make her a follower.
You will encounter tons of new NPCs during her quests that are also fully voiced recorded. Mirai has a sweet voice that goes well with some of the songs added into this mod.
Mirai’s quests are story-driven rather than action, which is a nice change of pace. During this quest, you gain new abilities.

Mirai also comes with a romance option, allowing her to marry her if she has significant affection towards you. The marriage is also a quest that can be played out in a unique way that the vanilla system. You’ll first have to win her heart and goes on various dates; if you like romantic followers as I do, this will keep you fully immersed.

As a follower, Mirai prefers fighting with Ice based spells, and during close combat, she will use melee. Mirai levels up the more she travel and goes on adventures with you, which allows her to learn new things.

Mirai has three costume clothing can switch between, that comes fully customized. She also has a marriage dress if she marries you. Mirai also has design mods that change the character’s design.

Mirai also has an informative manual located in her home in Markarth. This manual comes with bug fixes in case Mirai goes beserk.

Recorder

The recorder is one of my personal favorites. She’s a hilarious follower to have around. Recorder within her dialogue lines, it seems that Recorder has visited other games in the past, one being Final Fantasy.

Her voice acting is excellent, with tons of dialogue that will keep you entertained and freaked out occasionally. You can talk about several things, and just like Mirai, she can even sing for you.
Recorder wears custom armor and is very helpful to have by your side in combat.
The original author aimed to make 5 quests for her, so look out for updates.

Just like Mirai, there are overhauls available with the Recorder Customizer Mod; this overhaul allows you the option to customize the character to maker more of your liking.

Skyrim Romance

Skyrim Romance is a romantic novel full of dialogue. The mod’s main character is called Bisshop; he can be found at the Riverwood inn, that’s where you will start his first quest to retrieve his wolf companion.

Bisshop has some personality issues that make him unique to other mods; he is far from friendly to most characters; however, he is quite loyal to you as a partner.
You can discuss many dialogue options with Bisshop, you can get to know his character quite well, and he is very open about his opinion towards you.
With this follower, you will encounter various characters in different parts of Skryim. A lot of these characters are customed voiced with 3000 lines of dialogue. These characters come with short and long story sequences and quests to feel your every need.

Bisshop offers new dialogue after doing certain quests. If you are a romantic lover, this mod can be seen as a somewhat romance novel at times. This mod is aimed more at females, but I still recommend male players try it out.

Acalypha

Acalypha is a demon follower with a custom-voiced and design that includes small quests. This mod has an excellent story, extra features, and stunning designs.

Acalypha has 3 custom outfits you can choose between, and you can also customize her hairstyle and eye colors.
Acalypha’s quest is story-based, and there are 2 large journals with an exciting story to read.
This mod comes with extra customs weapons and spells; she can even give you helpful items sometimes.
Acalypha is one of the best demon followers with extra content and features to be enjoyed.

Ambriel

Ambriel is a lost princess with an extensive quest included. This princess is quite aware of the areas you are in and the NPCs you are close to.

Ambriel comments around NPCs encounters, the places, the vanilla quests, the weather, and much more.

Ambriel’s following system works differently from ordinary followers; she uses an affection system that works by actions; the more affection for you, the more of a great character she is, the less taste Ambriel has for you, the more she slacks.

If her love falls for the player, Ambriel will head home to recharge; this usually takes three days. To see the current affection she has for you, the player has to trigger it by doing an action, and it will appear on the left upper corner. Many things can trigger these actions, from pushing her around, killing innocents to a beautiful night sky. Every decision you make affects Ambriel, and that’s why this mod so unique.

Ambriel comes with a lot of configuration; she can recruit different companions that she chooses; she also keeps a full of content and is occasionally updated.
Ambriel is an excellent follower with excellent character development, quests with a great storyline, and exciting scenarios.
If you have Recorder as your other companion, Ambriel and Recorder have tons of dialogue available for the player’s entertainment.

Vilja

Vilja is an extensive female follower with multiple quests, dialogue and features included. She has more than thousands of dialogue lines, which makes this character excellently developed. There are many occasions where Vilja will comment on, from the area that you are to the choices you decide within your quests.

Vilja’s quests might take the player a long time before they can make any progress. It’s highly recommended to have this character early on in the game with you.

Before she can become your follower, the player will have to do immersive quests for her first.

Vilja’s comes with many different features;

she reads the player a book
gifts some valuable items
give the player opinions when doing quests
sell items or buy items from the player

These are examples of the great features that this mod has to offer, which expands the more you have Vilja with you during the vanilla quests.

You can have Vilja as your companion alongside Inigo; this gives you additional dialogue lines specifically made to use them together. Vilja and Inigo almost seem perfect companions to have by your side; they are indeed meant to be used together.

Inigo

Last on this list with have Inigo. Inigo is a Khajit, just like Vilja. He has many unique lines in various situations when exploring the region, with thousands of dialogue lines tailored to your particular character, statues, or quest. This mod even allows you to change the frequency of the commentary in his options.

Inigo even comes with a small quest that you can do after you get to know him more throughout the game.
