If you’ve always wanted to know who were the top husbands in all of Skyrim, we’ve got you covered. Here, we’ve made a list of the Top 9 Husbands you can find in the frozen north of Tamriel.
9. Cosnach
Kicking off our list, Cosnach is a Breton drunk found in the Warrens of Markarth. You can start your relationship off in the truest of love stories; with a brutal bar fight brawl or sharing a pint to drink.
He’s got pretty good stamina in terms of a follower or companion and specializes in heavy armor, making him an effective tank in most dungeons.
8. Ghorbash the Iron Hand
The brother of Chief Burguk, Ghorbash is an Orsimer that lives in Dushnikh Yal. He can be convinced to join you through either payment, persuasion, or (you guessed it) beating him in a brawl.
He specializes in light armor despite his default setting armor being heavy and is especially good in Archery.
7. Belrand
A Nord Spellsword found in the Winking Skeever in Solitude, Belrand is skilled in both Destruction Magic and One-Handed Weapons. To get him to join you, you must first purchase his services before attempting to marry. At least you don’t have to start your relationship off through a brawl.
6. Vorstag
A Nord Mercenary found in Markarth, Vorstag has fairly high Heavy Armor and Block and Archery and One-Handed Weapons skills. This makes him an excellent addition in combat.
He can be recruited from his home by purchasing his services.
5. Derkeethus
An Argonian Miner found in Darkwater Crossing, Derkeethus is found through the mission, “Extracting an Argonian”, where he can be made into a follower and subsequent marriage option.
Adequate in Sneak skills, the Argonian is most proficient in Light Armor and Archery.
4. Onmund
A Nord Mage found in the College of Winterhold, Onmund is available as a follower only after completing his side quest. Once made into a follower, you can then seek to make him a potential husband.
Interestingly, Onmund is highly skilled in Heavy Armor and Archery and his magical abilities despite being a Mage. That being the case, he still will resist wearing heavy armor, opting for the mage robes instead.
3. Vilkas
The Nordic member of the Companions in Whiterun, Vilkas becomes available as a marriage candidate only after completing the Companions questline.
He is one of the few Companions members who wishes to be cured of his lycanthropy and can be done so after the questline’s end.
2. Revyn Sadri
Found in Sadri’s Used Wares in Windhelm, Sadri can be made into a marriage candidate only after completing his quest for him.
Unlike the other candidates on this list, Revyn has no combat skills and cannot be made into a follower despite being available for marriage.
1. Athis
Finally, Athis is a Dunmer Warrior that is located in Whiterun as a member of the Companions. He is eligible as a husband after completing the quest, “Glory for the Dead”.
Athis is a trainer in One-Handed combat skill and uses heavy armor.
