This will be a brief tutorial on leveling from 1 to 80. To begin, some preparation and clarity are necessary. If you wish to level up your first job/class, you must complete the MSQ, which is always represented by a meteor or a sun-like cool symbol and is required for accessing various types of content while also giving lots of experience points. Whatever you plan and do to increase your level on your first job, this will be your primary objective.
The greatest enemies of your leveling progress are boredom and demotivation. Suppose you continue to use effective techniques that keep you on track and offer the greatest balance of enjoyment and efficiency. In that case, you will almost always reach level 80 before other players who follow the best route but need many breaks due to boredom.
Levels 1-20 Hunting Log
I put a priority on completing these beast log entries that most jobs need. During the first twenty levels, you’ll be on the lookout for these targets, always located in the beginning regions that circle the town where your chosen job begins. While you’re at it, I recommend taking each fate with you that you run over. Then, at level 15, try queueing for your first dungeons or your roulettes.
Level 20 – 60 Command Mission
On level 20, there’s one method that outperforms all others. Still, the requirement for it is to reach 2nd lieutenant with your grand company which is bound to certain progress in the MSQ as well as doing specific grand company side quest and the completion of the grand company hunting log.
The main task of these command missions is to establish a team with AI-controlled NPCs that will also become stronger the more mission you complete successfully, increasing the overall speed of your completion time.
They will accompany you in all sorts of Realm Reborn and some Heavensward dungeons that grant you the same exp when you will do that with an ordinary group. When your squad levels up a certain DPS trait, this will be way faster, especially those archers dealing an insane amount of damage.
Levels 26-36 Adamantoise Tears
There are certain breakpoints to hop into the leaf quest. Adamantoise Tears on levels 26 – 36, which doesn’t even require much action.
Levels 50-53 Fates – U’Ghamaro
You could also do fates worldwide, especially on level 50 when having access to high-end Heavensward gear.
You could head to the U’Ghamaro mines to switch between two fates that triggered each other the moment you cleared one creating a brilliant fate loop that you can use until level 53.
Levels 61 – 70 Heaven on High
You can find a good spot on 61 to level, the so-called deep dungeon namely the Heaven on High.
Do the pre-requisite questline, clear floor 1-30 once, finish the main quest and start queuing for the level 21 stage either as a match or with another friend to get your job to level 70. The biggest advantage is you won’t run into long queuing times especially for the DPS jobs that make a big difference compared to normal dungeon runs.
Levels 71-80 Trust and Pixie Dailies
On the Shadowbringer level for also having access to the Nut Hunt, fates with many new rewards and the same dungeon scheme as in Heavensward and Stormblood.
There’s also another new feature called Trust that reflects the essence of your previous command mission but being lowered in its actual value as the damage output of your trust members is nothing compared to the squad.
So generally, you would clear the dungeon in a much faster way with a normal party through a duty finder. But if you run into queueing time past more than 50 minutes, you should give it a try and enjoy the adventure together with your favorite side characters.
