What is Red Mage in FFXIV?
Red mage works in combination of white and black magic to use it as a powerful attack. It also combines melee strikes along with them in the combo. These melee attacks are short-ranged. The red mage is a caster job. If you are a caster beginner, then a red mage would probably be one of the best option for you.
It combines the quick skills of the players with spells and weapons of the game. It is one of the most fun and interested characters to play.
It works like a caster allowing freedom of movement. It attracts players through its fluidity. However, some still say that its Area of Effect is not as good in performance as others.
How to play as a Red mage?
Red mages rely on different phases as an essential part of the main loop of their play style. When playing a red mage, you should first try to generate your gauge resources. This could be done by going into the spell casting phase. You should try to get and score the exact amounts in Black and White mana, or if not possible, try to score as much as you can.
The red mage job starts at level 50, why have I been listing it from level 1 then?
While playing, content might throw you in shallow levels. If you participate in the duty roulette level or try to help your friend who is in low-level fate, your level decreases, and you will sink. You would ultimately lose access to your arsenal of spells and traits. Hence it is necessary to know from the start.
How to unlock the Red Mage
To unlock the Red Mage, you need to have a character at level 50. You also needs to finish the Ultimate Weapon main scenario quest. After doing so, you will find Distraught Lass, an NPC, at Thai steps, an area in Ul’dah.
Then you will get a quest named Taking the Red’. In this quest, you will go to the Central Thanalan to find the NPC of the red mage over there. You have to speak again to the Distraught Lass. Later you will see the red mage appearing at the Traven present south of Black Brush Station. Speak to him to get the Red Mage job.
The 1st step in unlocking the red maze is to purchase storm blood, or complete edition as a red mage is a storm-like job. To start, it does not require access to star blood areas like others, namely Dark knight, machinist, and astrologer. The fighter job needs you to be leveled up to 50. This would include caster ranges tanks and healers, allowing you to begin your fancy adventure by accepting the quest and taking the red in tau steps. It will enable you to take gear as it shares its equipment with casting jobs. The quests would dress you up in a full set of red mage armor appearance along with the weapons.

Level 1- 10:
Red mage mostly focuses on casting spells.
Each of the hard spills will help you trigger your Dualcast ability. This will transform your next spell into an instant one.
Your general rotation always rounds in a circle around a hard cast bow. It follows up by an instant spell which is caused by dual cast rate.
Hard casting means standing still and wait for the cast time to finish.

Level 11 to level 20:
After accumulating at level 15, you will receive the first we attack scatter. This is a neutral spell. You should use this under the effect of the dual cast because you will get under at level 18 and Ver arrow two at level 20.

When leveling up from level 50 to 60, you should consider main story quests as your focus. These quests include A rewarding struggle, Taking the red. As a red mage player, you can get fast XP using the Palace of the dead.
You should consider using Roulette Trials as they are super quick to finish. Levequests are usually preferable for DoH or DoL. They are best for them but not good for those with combat classes. Try to avoid the Sea of Clouds. It is challenging and not worth trying. It has a wide level range, and also the map is too big.
Level 60 to level 70:
The Color of Her Hair is the quests appearing from level 60 to 70. Finally, at this level, you can take part in With Heart and Steel by heading to The Pillars.
