≈ = Approximately (equal to)
Basic Information – Applies to all 3 Phases
- Entry is allowed once daily per mode, Clear count is once per week (regardless of mode)
- Level 250, every level below reduces your FD (StrategyWiki – FD/Lvl Table)
- 760-940AF (1x dmg)/ 950-1130AF (1.1x)/ 1140+AF (1.5x)
- 300% PDR
- Shade and Resistance Link Skill is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
- Turn on Skill Transparency [HIGHLY RECOMMENDED]
- Using Transparent Dmg Skin or Platoon Chronos Familiar (less cluster) helps a lot
- Normal Will HP = 9T (4.5T per bar) // 6T // 9T
- Hard Will HP = 40T (20T per bar) // 30T // 40T
- Will can be binded like any other boss
- Moonlight – Used with NPC Chat Button, replenishes by attacking and staying alive
- You will not gain moonlight if you are dead
- Upon clearing a segment, Will is stunned for ~10 sec. Use this time to burst as much as possible, then bind after for more time to burst
Phase 1 – Mechanics
1.1. Basic Information
- 5sec Potion/Potion Pot CD
- Moonlight = Switch Dimension, No CD, consumes 40% Moonlight spent upon use, replenished through damage dealt/surviving
- Party Members randomly split up into each Dimension (Purple/Blue) upon entry (can be 6/0, 5/1, etc)
- Separate bind CDs in each Dimension
1.2. Map Attacks
- Spider Legs – Attacks VERTICALLY every 2sec – Deals 20%HP
- Homing Orbs – 4 Blue Orbs follow players and deals 10%HP
- Unavoidable (except with i-frames or moving past it)
- Beholders – Summons Pellets that deal 10%HP + slightly reduces Moonlight
1.3. Will’s Attacks
- KB + Reverse Key (5sec) upon impact
- KB can be prevented with some skills e.g. Impenetrable Skin or i-frames
- Tip: Stay behind him at all times
- Sweep – Deals 20%HP
- Poke – Deals 20%HP
- Tornado – Will puts his hand on his head then summons a Tornado that moves across the map – Deals 90%HP upon contact – ≈10sec CD (separate CD for each dimension)
Can be avoided by keeping Will in the middle of the map and staying behind him at all times or using Moonlight to switch dimensions or using iframes or using vertical movement skills to go over it.
1.4. HP Bar Mechanics
- Purple/Blue (Secondary) HP Bar represents Will’s HP in each dimension
- Red HP Bar (Main) = Highest HP Bar of Purple/Blue Bar after ”Map Break”
- Map Break = A “Dark Red Eye” is shown dead-centre of the map in ONE of the dimensions, 1st Map Break starting at ≈28:45-28:50 (re-occurs every 2min)
(Map Break Timer slowly decreases the longer you stay in phase 1)
- All Players in the dimension WITHOUT the “Dark-Red-Eye” experiences a Map Break (≈5 sec after “Dark-Red-Eye spawns). Map Break deals 100%HP to all players.
- All Players in the dimension WITH the “Dark-Red-Eye” experiences no dmg (≈5 sec after “Dark-Red-Eye spawns).
- xx(even):45 Map Break updates the Red (Main) HP to the highest of Purple/Blue Bar, and heals the lowest purple/blue hp bar to match the higher hp bar (assuming both bars don’t reach the HP Barrier)
- Map Break damage avoidable with Holy Shell/i-frames/go to Dimension WITH Dark-Red Eye
Note: The main HP Bar still updates even if someone dies to the xx(even):45 Map Break.
- After a xx(even):45 Map Break, Segment Test initiates if both Purple/Blue Bars are at the HP Barrier. Read below for more information.
- Segment Test (Altar Phase) ONLY starts when both purple/blue HP Bars are at the HP Barrier [occurs after Map Breaks at xx(even):45]
- After 1st Map Break at ≈xx(even):45, Will summons an “Altar” in both dimensions
- Players are randomly split up into both dimensions
- Attacking the Altar summons purple/yellow orbs falling from the sky, in the OPPOSITE DIMENSION.
- Collect Yellow Orbs until a Yellow Bubble/Shield to block 2nd Map Break (≈20 sec after 1st Map Break/Altar spawn or even#:20-25). Stand inside the bubble.
- Only attack until golden bubble is spawned (takes about 2 golden orbs to spawn)
- Dodge Purple Orbs (deals 60% dmg), even inside the golden bubble. Can be blocked with Dark Sight/iframes.
- Orbs continue to fall for 3sec after 2nd Map Break. DON’T DIE OR YOU’LL FAIL THE SEGMENT TEST. USE iFRAMES IF NECESSARY
- Tip: You can leave the golden bubble to avoid purple orbs if necessary. You just need to be inside it for the 2nd Map Break.
- Once 2nd Map Break occurs, all party members are teleported back into 1 random dimension
- Will is immobilized for 10 seconds whenever you pass a segment test. Don’t waste your bind by binding immediately after a HP Barrier is removed
NOTE: IF ANYONE DIES during the Segment Test (Altar Phase) or within 3 sec after 2nd Map Break due to Purple Orbs, you have failed the Segment Test. You then must wait another 2min for next Segment Test.
!! REPEAT UNTIL PHASE 2 !!
Will automatically transitions to Phase 2
Phase 2 – Mechanics
2.1. Basic Information
- Healing Potions/Healing Skills are blocked (BoD and Familiars still heal)
- Moonlight = Allows 5sec window to heal from pots/skills (can last slightly longer due to server lag), 5sec CD, consumes 40%, replenished through damage dealt/surviving
- Pots can be used at start and end of Heal Window (5sec Potion CD persists in Phase 2), allowing 2 Potion usages
2.2. Map Attacks
- Spider Legs, Homing Mobs and Beholders (Pellets) as discussed in Phase 1
2.3. Will’s Attacks
- Poke, Sweep and KB (KB now gives Reverse Keys) as discussed in Phase 1
- Spider Reflection = Spider runs across and out of the map, dealing 20%HP to everyone upon contact, can be jumped over/Teleport.
- Tip: If trapped between side-wall and web, double jump into the corner to dodge the spider
- Side Web Reflections = A Web is spawned on both sides of the map. Lasts 10sec
- Hard Will: Deals 100%HP upon contact
- Normal Will: Deals 90%HP upon contact
Tip: Position yourself so you don’t get KBed into Webs. Stand on the opposite side of whatever web he’s closest to
Tip: Dmg can be avoided with some skills such as BaM Shell, Smokescreen, iFrames or Dark Sight
- Dash – Will dashes a short distance, dealing 10%HP upon contact
- Reflection Poke – Will’s reflection pokes you for 20%HP
2.3. HP Bar Mechanics
- Once reaching a HP Barrier, Will enters “Mirror Pattern” (Has a 2min CD) almost immediately (lasts ≈30sec)
- Noticeable through the message from NPC Melange in centre of screen
2.4. Mirror Pattern (Segment Test)
- During Mirror Pattern, ONLY Spider Legs attack you
- Deals 90% damage and does not attack the same place consecutively.
- Spider legs attack in waves of 3 attacks, with a 2sec delay between each wave
- Mirror-Pattern Segment Test Strategy
- No Crack on Ground = Dodge Spider Legs (stand in Left/Right corner)
- Cracked Floor = Get hit by Spider Legs (otherwise take 90% damage)
For the Left-Hand Side, the approximate spawn locations of spider legs are:
1. Medium-sized Crystal
2. Small-sized Crystal
3. Medium-sized Crystal/ right of Small-sized Crystal
== 2 second delay until next wave ==
[Mirror Pattern Demonstration]
For the Right-Hand Side of Phase 2, the approximate spawn locations of spider legs are:
== Soon to be added ==
Mirror Pattern Notes:
- Dying right after the NPC Melange notification results in failure and Will resumes attacking as per usual after Mirror Pattern (30-35 sec duration).
Then, everyone must wait 2min (Mirror Pattern CD) from 1st NPC Melange notification until next Mirror Pattern.
- If you die right before Mirror Pattern, LET THE TIMER RUN OUT. This doesn’t count as a fail, unless you die again during Mirror Pattern.
- Spider Web Reflections persist for a few seconds into Mirror Pattern
- The second the ground switches from cracked → uncracked or uncracked → cracked, there is a 1-2sec (or 1 spider leg) delay on transition
Example: If the reflection switches from cracked → uncracked, at that particular instance you avoid 1 spider leg (avoid because the reflection WAS cracked). After that avoid all spider legs as usual (because it changed to cracked)
- SUICIDE STRAT: Suicide right before Mirror Pattern starts to avoid screwing up during the Segment Test. This only works if less than half the party members are dead.
- Tip: If your party fails Mirror Pattern or you’re waiting for Mirror Pattern, standing in the corners gives you a higher chance of surviving. In this current patch, the corners have a low chance of getting hit by random attacks and KB into webs (what everyone usually dies from)
- Will is immobilized for 10 seconds whenever you pass a segment test. Don’t waste your bind by binding immediately after a HP Barrier is removed
!!! REPEAT UNTIL PHASE 3 !!!
You must kill the last 0.5%HP to Transition to Phase 3. Use this time to buff up
Phase 3 – Mechanics
3.1. Basic Information
- Potions have a 5 sec CD
- Moonlight = Provides a 3 sec buff allowing you to remove 2 webs by jumping into them, stops web spawns during buff, immune to web dmg and status debuffs
- Everyone must use Moonlight whenever possible and remove the side Webs.
- Contact with Webs deals 30%HP and Skill Lock for few seconds
- Webs constantly spawn and close in towards the middle of the map
- Tip: Stand right on him so you won’t get KBed deep into the corners
- Tip: Shoe Spikes reduces the KB distance by 50%
3.2. Map Attacks
- Spider Legs, Homing Mobs, Beholders (Pellets) as discussed in Phase 1
3.3. Will’s Attacks
- Stomp – Will transforms into a giant spider and summons spikes upon slamming the ground.
- There are 2 types, which can be distinguished with the colour of the spider’s eyes. Another way to distinguish between attacks is the BODY MOVEMENT of the spider
- Normal Will: Spikes deal 90%HP
- Hard Will: Spikes deal 100%HP
WILL ALTERNATES BETWEEN YELLOW AND WHITE EYE ATTACKS
Spikes are instanced for each person, but Yellow or White Eye Attack is the same for everyone
- Yellow Eyes [Raises 2 front legs up then LEANS BACK/ Spider Height is half of screen(smaller)] = Stand Still – Will summons spikes throughout the whole map except at your current location upon slam
- White Eyes [Raises 1 Front Leg up and raises body UP/ Spider Height takes up the whole screen (BIGGER)] = MOVE – Will summons a single spike at the location of your char upon slam (spawns ≈0.5 – 0.8 seconds after hitting the ground)
– WHITE EYES CAN ONLY BE DODGED BY USING MOVEMENT SKILLS TO DODGE (FJ/TELE/BACKSTEP/ETC)
– IF YOU HAVE FLASH JUMP, FJ RIGHT BEFORE HE HITS THE GROUND (WHITE EYES)
– MAGES MUST TELEPORT A SPLIT SECOND AFTER HE HITS THE GROUND
– CANNOT BE AVOIDED BY JUST WALKING
- Poison – 1 person is infected with a poison effect that hits everyone within range (excluding host), deals 20%/sec for 18seconds
- Shell blocks Poison damage
Poison-Host deals 2x damage throughout the whole duration
Note: Upon death of host, the poison effects turns into an AoE at the location of host death
Duration continues from initial infliction and a new random host is infected with poison (Continues until the end of 1st host poison duration).
Example: If the 1st and 2nd host dies, there’ll be 2 Aoe Poisons + 1 new host
All poison effects expires18 sec after infliction of 1st poison
- KB – deals 20%HP, gives Reverse Keys + Curse
- Poke – Deals 20%HP
Full Hard Willy Strategy Guide
Phase 1
- Upon entering, players will be randomly split up into 2 Dimensions (can be split 6/0).
- If your party is semi-funded, save your big skills and hit both dimensions slowly towards the HP Barrier (until 28:50). Although, if everyone is split up evenly in terms of damage output, then proceed to bursting as much as possible.
- If your party is super-funded, burst the HP bar of both dimensions down to the HP Barrier. The group that finishes first shall use Moonlight to move to the other dimension to join up with the other group (total of 6 in 1 dimension). Hopefully the HP of both dimensions reaches the barrier by 28:50.
(If the Purple/Blue HP isn’t at the HP Barrier, based from your own judgement, switch to the higher HP Bar’s Dimension and try to equalise both bars to minimise the heal after Map Break)
- At xx(even):50, BISHOP USES SHELL, to protect the party (6) from the 1st Map Break. During the segment test, collect Yellow Orbs in both Dimensions until a Yellow Bubble spawns around the Altar. Stop attacking. Stand inside the Yellow Bubble for 2nd Map Break. (check Section – Phase 1 for more details).
- After removing a HP Barrier, burst for 10seconds, then bind.
- Repeat above steps until last HP Barrier
- After the final Map Break (2nd Map Break at 3rd HP Barrier), rebuff whole party and get ready to put out the biggest burst possible. There’ll be a 5 second countdown before moving to Phase 2
Phase 2
- Upon entering, use normal bind [+ Lucid Bind]
- Throw EVERYTHING possible to kill Will as much as possible
- Use Moonlight to temporarily heal within a 5 sec interval
- If you die, let the timer run out
- Once reaching the 1st HP Barrier, complete the Mirror Pattern Segment Test
DON’T FUCKING DIE DURING MIRROR PATTERN PHASE OR EVERYONE HAS TO WAIT ANOTHER 2MIN. USE iFRAMES IF YOU HAVE TO
- During Mirror Pattern: Tank Spider Legs with Cracked Reflection, stand in left/right corner for Uncracked Reflection (check Section – Phase 2 for more details).
- Record the time of the 1st Mirror Pattern as future Mirror Patterns occur at least every 2min after the start of the 1st Mirror Pattern
Phase 3
- Upon entering, use every single burst skill possible to kill Will down as far as possible
- Everyone must communicate whether to Stand Still/Move (check Section – Phase 3 for more details)
- Everyone MUST use Moonlight and get rid of webs whenever possible (TOP PRIORITY)
- If you get knocked into the side webs, use Moonlight
- If you are low on lives, stay dead to prevent unnecessary deaths and wait for skills to come off CD
Rewards
- Stone Cobweb Droplets: 1-2 for Normal Willy, 1-3 for Hard Willy
