Released on September 29, 2018, and published by Candywriter LLC, Bitlife – Life Simulator was a game that took many people by storm.
Bitlife started the player as a baby and allowed them to make choices throughout the game to shape their lives as they see fit. The game boasted a large amount of replayability with seemingly endless options and choices that resulted in many different scenarios and endings.
However, after replaying the game multiple times, you may want to pursue other options similar to Bitlife to give a similar feeling. Here are nine games similar to Bitlife that you may want to try out as well.
1. Reigns
Reigns, published by Devolver Digital and developed by Nerial, is a simulation game that focuses on strategy and exploration through a text-based game.
The game will provide the player with many decisions to make throughout the game that require the player to think critically about the choices they would like to make in a fictional medieval world and swipe left or right to confirm their options.
If you enjoyed the ability to make critical decisions that will impact future choices, then this game is worth checking out on Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Windows, or Linux.
2. Another Life
Published by Another Byte and still in Early Access, Another Life allows the player to simulate a new life by starting as a child and making choices to grow into their preferred profession.
The game features stats and multiple branching options to choose from. You can find love, buy houses, drive cars, and boost your career through many paths like becoming YouTuber, CEO, or criminal.
The options open up as you unlock achievements through playing the game. If you’re looking for a similar life simulator with built-in minigames and multiple career options, be sure to check out Another Life on the app store.
3. Life Simulator 3
Life Simulator 3 starts you as a teenager and allows you to choose many different options to create your dreams’ fantasy life. The game boasts over 130 jobs ranging from dishwasher to judge, with many in between. You can choose nearly 100 different educational pathways to unlock job options.
The game also allows you to socialize, buy property, become a celebrity, shop, fall in love, start a family, buy pets, and more! Additionally, the game offers Idle features to earn money even while not playing the game.
All of these features add up into a wonderful game with a similar premise to BitLife, so I would recommend checking it out if you’re looking for some new options.
4. Streamer Sim Tycoon
While BitLife provides a large variety of career options to pursue, Streamer Sim Tycoon decided to focus on one particular job to allow a more in-depth experience for that career.
You get to create a broadcasting channel to stream from the computer to amass as many followers and viewers as possible. The game offers skills that you can upgrade on your quest to becoming the best streamer possible.
The options for choosing a game to stream have some hilarious options, so this game is a good fit if you’re looking for a humorous and more in-depth look into a particular profession.
5. Musician Simulator
Similar to the previous entry, Musician Simulator allows you to create a character and grow your profession in one profession.
Rather than multiple different career options, the game allows you to choose the genre of music you’d like to create and sell with over 90 sub-genres available.
You can create music videos, receive comments, and form your band. There are plenty of upgrades available to help increase your income. The game also features life simulation options such as marriage, starting a family, and even buying a pet.
6. Sims 4
While not available on mobile, there is no denying the Sims games had a lasting impression on the simulation genre. Sims 4 is the most recent Sims game, which allows you to create a character or family and guide their lives through career, home, and family options.
Sims 4 tackles very similar subjects and themes as BitLife, but it is completed through a 3D world with a much larger variety of options.
One downside comes in DLC’s form to expand the world further, but I would recommend this game for any fans of the simulation genre who have not tried it out.
7. Livelink
Rather than focusing on a career, Livelink allows the player to swipe through a dating app in hopes of striking a match.
Once a match is found, the player can speak with their potential love interest and enjoy a story crafted specifically for each character’s character.
The player is provided multiple-choice options to reply to questions or interact with the NPCs in the game. This game does have microtransactions to unlock pictures or specific dialogue choices. However, I would still recommend the game for those interested in more romance.
8. Stardew Valley
If you’re looking for a more expansive open-ended game, Stardew Valley, designed and published by Eric Barone, is a role-playing simulation game that allows players to create their character who will receive a farm they work to grow.
During the game, the player can marry an NPC and improve their farm and community. The game is more focused on the farming aspects, but the relaxing nature and options for love make it a solid recommendation for fans of BitLife.
9. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a Nintendo Switch game that allows the player to create their villager. You are sent to an abandoned island to create their very own camp in hopes it will grow into a full village.
The game is primarily focused on farming, fishing, and collecting resources to grow your island to entice villagers to join. Interacting with villagers and growing the island are exciting aspects of the game and maybe very enjoyable for fans of the simulation genre.
I would also recommend Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp that simplifies the game for play on mobile devices for a lighter experience.
